Scanner Operator/ Filer (Former Employee) –  Kenner, LAJune 7, 2019
Worked part time as a scanner operator, was a decent job, the management was helpful and appreciative of work done. Pay was fairly good, was simply limited on hours due to the nature of my position and the workflow.

Claims Adjuster (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 2, 2019
The management last as long as a banana off a vine. Things would change and not everyone be updated. People received promotions based off of who they were friends with. Very inconsistent. Expected to take around 100 calls a day. Supervisors hated their jobs, hated being there and were very stressed.

Gap (Former Employee) –  Dunwoody, GAJanuary 9, 2019
It’s like a hierarchy. If you’re not in upper management you don’t matter. The money is not worth it. Management sucks. Pay sucks. HR sucks. Worst place to work!

Tire and Wheel Claims Adjuster/Cancellations (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 17, 2018
I worked at Safe-Guard for 3 1/2 years, I wish I had never left, it was the most amazing company I ever worked for.
Management was awesome, the CEO,COO were like family.
I will forever remember them as the best company anyone could work for.
I started there in 2014-worked until 2017. It was a sad day when I left for me and my family I made at Safeguard.

Horrible Place to Work
Accounts Receivable Specialist (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 7, 2018
I would never encourage anyone to work at Safe-Guard. Management is horrible and Human Resources is a joke. You have to work more than 40 hours per week in the receivables department just to keep up due to poor business practices. You feel the tension and stress from the moment you walk into the doors.
Pros
Location, benefits
Cons
Management, stressful environment, work life balance

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAFebruary 2, 2018
Waring! Do not work for the Cancellations Department. The department does not have a good leader. It’s a dead end job. The rules change everyday. There is no training, all training is done by trail a error
Cons
Training is terrible

Accounts Receivable Representative (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 29, 2017
No room for advancement. The only company I have worked for where being lazy (Supervisors) is rewarded. HR is a joke. They just want to know your business, but nothing ever comes from the meetings. There is a definite divide between upper management and everyone else. Raises are an insult and slap in the face. I left there to take a lower paying job, just got tired of dealing with that mess of a company.

Just a job to pay bills. Not a career
Cancellations processor (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJune 20, 2017
The HR girl AJ was horrible. If you went to her with a problem you better expect everyone in the office to know about it. She did not know how to keep things private. She does not protect the employee at all.
Most of the management is run by inexperienced people who need to take some classes on how to be a manager and how to handle working with people. Many are not knowledgeable in running a department.
The pay is ok for starters but no growth.
Use this job just for experience to move to a better company.

Customer Service Representative (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 9, 2016
Management is messy and gossip right on the floor in front of you. The HR team is terrible. They NEVER respond to any emails that you send. You always do at least five jobs, get paid for one. The pay is not bad but you are definitely going to work for it. The only upside is the employees try to help each other and put on a unified front. This is a job, not a career.
Pros
Pay is decent
Cons
Shoddy uneducated management and company as a whole

Claims Adjuster (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 21, 2016
This place lacks organization and the managers are very unprofessional. The director of claims is great to talk with and really cares about your growth. Unfortunately there's no place to go!

HR is a pure mess, they are never seen or heard from unless there are issues or a generic email sent to all employees.

The do not promote fairly, and everything in the company is considered a lateral move.

IF YOU NEED A JOB ONLY go here, Career searchers go elsewhere.
Pros

Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GASeptember 5, 2015
If you are a seasoned professional, this is not the place to take that expertise. Management is inexperienced and the ones who have years of experience, do not know how to recognize true talent. The company is basically run by agents who obtain the various accounts, Their money depends on the rapport you build with each customer who may call the dealership and complain and then the dealership calls the manager and the agent and complains and things blow up. Too many checks are dependent on your interaction with the contract holder so everyone tries to micromanage,

Claims rep (Former Employee) –  BuckheadMay 27, 2014
A great company to work 4 cept that they were expanding rapidly and call center manager tended to play favorites. The claims manager was very supportive in her job with her staff. The claims director was great when he would communicate w you. The executives were very friendly and supportive of their team.
Only drawback was the HR manager I believe played favorites and does not do her job as to hiring and firing practices. In other words she uses the hiring of friends as a good stand by for employee retention.
Pros
Salary, work environment, interaction w piers
Cons
Favoritism, HR issues

SafeGuard Review
Gap Claims Adjuster (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAJuly 25, 2013
A typical day at work would be a fast paced enviroment combining, reviewing and submitting legible documents to the underwriter to submit gap benefits for total loss claims. The hardest part of the job was that there was never an ending point, I worked an unlimited amount of claims there was no cut off point. THe most enjoyable part of the job was being apart of a team that looked out for one another in attempts of helping with each others work load if able.
