Not difficult. Did take mouth swab on site, no prior warning given.

It was nice and it was a very comfortable environment. They asked my questions in relations to Safeway and how I can help better their company along with making Starbucks a happier place

They will typically reach out to you over phone or email to start the interview process and schedule an in-person interview with a district recruiter or store management. From there its a fairly standard retail interview, talk about the positions open, your availability, etc. They'll preform an oral drug test during the in-person interview. If that comes back clean they'll have you fill out paperwork on the computer and wait for background to clear. Once that happens they'll contact you to put you on the schedule. If you're a new hire, you'll have to complete computer training and attend a safety orientation class before you can start your first day.

It is really easy. As they are desperate for people. The company has a very high turn over rate. They called me back quick.
I applied and was called back quickly . Called in to interview with district recruiter for Personal shopper/ Dot.com. Formal interview style, should dress casual/ business attire. The Safeway folks want to see good hygiene and neatness. Asked questions about work experience focusing on customer service. Why did you leave past employers? What is good customer service to you? After about 15 min interview was offered the job. Oral swab drug test on the spot. Asked to come back in 2 weeks to finish process. Background still not back after 2 weeks so was given exemption and started work 3 weeks after interview. Holidays are here and company is hiring so I didn't expect a quick background check. Took a safety class first.
Interview process was simple and short.
I had a interview in june the manager pretty much told me i had the job right then and there but had to do background check, the interview is pretty easy just relax and answer the questions the best you can
