There is not a set amount of vacation days for floor nurses, which is what I am. You earn paid time off and that is what you must use for vacations. You have to ask for time off before the next schedule is posted and then you will be notified of approval. I don't think I have ever had a request denied in over 14 years as long as it was entered in the required timeframe. In my experience, my leaders have always been very flexible about letting you swap shifts with co-workers if you need to and sometimes are willing to help you out by changing your scheduled day if at all possible. They are great about that.

Yes, they do accept associate degrees, but there is a timeframe in which you must complete your BSN. Typical work schedule is 3 twelve hour shifts a week, most people choose to do 3 shifts in a row but that is not required. Currently, nurses work about 4th weekend, depending on weekend premium staffing.

I think military people have a higher advantage at getting a job there! One of the human resource individuals that works with hiring is ex military
