SaintA is an innovative agency that provides needed and critical services to the citizens of Milwaukee and within Wisconsin. The pace is very fast and every day is different. The workplace culture is supportive and strategic. The hardest part of the job is managing all of the competing agendas of external partners. The best part of the job is making a difference every day. The newly hired CEO has in depth knowledge of each program and the challenges faced each day. She is attuned to the needs of the community and encourages continued strong community partnerships. There is a strong commitment to strengthening leadership skills by offering mentoring and trainings.

Insurance is expensive, but it is everywhere

I really enjoyed my time at SaintA. I have nothing but great things to say about that place. I am forever grateful. The staff got along really well with each other. The experience i gained there i will take into my next journey. There was a very diverse group of staff which was awesome. The most enjoyable part of the job was knowing you were making a difference in these kids lives everyday.

Stressful work environment
Expected to check emails and respond to phone calls after hours despite being told that caregiver capacity is important
Inconsistency among supervisors
High expectations despite having unmanageable case loads
Unprofessionalism amongst leadership
No room to grow within-often higher outside agency for supervisor positions
Parking issues
No safe guards in place for employees
Staff unreachable during emergencies
The pay is insulting

Lack of support or opportunities for growth.
Stats and timelines are due daily and unable to satisfy the state requirements.
High amount of out-of-control cases.
Inconsistent.
Excessive turnovers, no retention management techniques, equals disservice to youth.
Brand new positions are developed but only for "fav" employees.
Higher up inter-office gossip and job release process shows no compassion.
Ongoing job role changes and liability.
Financial issues resulting in raise freezes, bonus stops and the closing of several job positions and the resedential facillity.
Ongoing complaints of unprofessional and supervisors who talk to you disrespectfully, demeaning your intelligence, creating more turnovers.
Lack of ongoing training, set up for failure.
Very stressful job and lack of organization.
Culture of the agency could be much better.
Diverse by force but not friendly agency.
Low acknowledgment of hard workers.

This job is a great learning experience one learns a lot about time management and how to deal with different people and situations. The supervisors staff was an excellent support system and always easy to talk to.

Everyday you're required to deal with maximum of 15 male residents (can be lower depending on discharges and residents going on home-pass). Essentially the mood of the residents plays a huge role in how each workday will go. When the residents are receptive of your guidance then the day will generally go smooth with very few instances of needing to redirect the residents. However when residents are not at their best then this reflects the quality of the workday.

I wouldn't suggest anyone seeking employment to apply at this agency. There are very unprofessional, and they have no organization within the company. As an new employee you will be left by yourself to figure things out and get punished and fired for not keeping up to there standards!

I have worked here less than a year but have already been impressed by how much they encourage a work/life balance by offering a minimum of 152 hours of PTO to full-time employees at the bottom level; hours increase significantly depending on your role or time with SaintA!

I also get a strong sense of purpose from my co-workers; many case managers and staff members advocating for the needs of the clients and figuring out what we can do to best meet the demand.

The agency is constantly working towards growth; possibly too quickly, but the need is great. They offer mandatory training to all staff, but the individual departments still feel a little disconnected from the overall purpose (and what other departments are doing to achieve goals).
