Despite recent layoffs still a great place to work
Technical Architect (Current Employee) - Remote - June 2, 2023
Recent layoffs have definitely dented the mood at Salesforce but it remains the most employee focused company I have ever worked for. Overall I work with great people and have great managers. The team spirit here is hard to beat and if you are lucky enough to land a job here you will not regret a career move to Salesforce. You will certainly never be bored here!! Always new things to learn and new innovation happening.

Great place to work
Business Development Representative (Current Employee) - Boston, MA - May 31, 2023
Great place to start off in sales. They enfore a longer BDR tenure which I think turns people away from progressing to AE. High numbers to hit but bonuses and opportunity is good

Times are changing
Director, Product Management (Current Employee) - San Francisco Bay Area, CA - May 26, 2023
Great CEO but in general, Salesforce has had a good culture, but slowly that is changing. It really depends on which product you are working for and the manager.

Lots of opportunity to grow
Technical Architect (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - May 26, 2023
It's a very employee-friendly environment. The benefits are top notch. Not just the usual health and dental but also things like access to an online therapist, a monthly stipend towards wellness (massages, exercise equipment, cooking classes, gym membership, sports), and unlimited PTO that you're encouraged to use. They are very big on making sure everyone feels welcome, included, and happy. There are a ton of opportunities to learn new things. There seems to always be some meeting open to all where you can learn a new skill, technology, or the like. Really friendly, laid-back people. The CEO and leadership team responds to Slack messages on a regular basis. We may not like the answers sometimes, but I've never worked somewhere with that level of access to executives, especially billionaires.

Amazing Culture
Product Analyst (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - May 21, 2023
People are so friendly and willing to help. They actually back up their investment in diversity. The Employee Resource Groups are well funded. Work life balance and amenities are great. Pay is competitive. The scale from selling successful software is a great learning opportunity.

Just okay not great
Associate (Former Employee) - Denver, CO - May 19, 2023
Good but not great. I feel like management could be run a lot smoother with a better culture. I feel like once this is ironed out there could be some real improvements

Culture gone down
Enterprise Corporate Sales (Current Employee) - United States - May 15, 2023
Killed the culture, raised quotas in an incredibly difficult market, mandating RTO - they want people to quit. Used to be an incredible place and still can be depending on the team.

Incredible Talent | Fading Leadership & Product Market Fit
Enterprise Account Executive (Former Employee) - Remote - May 14, 2023
Like most big tech firms, Salesforce is full of the most talented people in the world and being surrounded by that is an incredible feeling. The leadership has made the news in recent months for reasons you can explore on your own, and this has majorly impacted the culture and internal experience. It sounds like I missed out on the heyday at Salesforce, those times have since passed.

Jobs at Salesforce
High-growth, Fast-paced
Enterprise Account Executive (Former Employee) - New York, NY - April 30, 2023
I worked at Salesforce prior to the layoffs at the end of 2022 and start of 2023. At that time, Salesforce was a great place to work - very high growth environment. It felt like you obtained your MBA. Very talented co-workers, best technology in the business.

A great corporate employer
Web Marketing Manager (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - April 30, 2023
One of the better tech companies to work for, with extremely talented people and generous departmental budgets. They give you 6 paid days to volunteer for a worthy cause, on top of your vacation, which is nice.

Used to be amazing
Anonymous (Former Employee) - Hillsboro, OR - April 30, 2023
This used to be considered one of the best places I’ve ever worked, but the continuous merry go round of poorly skilled senior managers made success difficult at best. Leadership team has a sad focus on short term gains at the cost of any meaningful strategic approach.
Pros
Semi remote, outstanding benefits and pay
Cons
Poorly skilled Sr Leadership, short sighted focus

Great place to learn but not substainable in the long run
Account Executive (Current Employee) - Dublin, CA - April 18, 2023
Great place to learn but not substainable in the long run as the pressure is extremely high and targets keep getting harder to achieve... If you make it past 2 years in AE at SF you are good to go anywhere

Good culture, didn't like team
Intern (Former Employee) - San Francisco, CA - April 17, 2023
Felt like sfdc had a welcoming culture, but I didn't have much support from my team. I was a new intern and didn't really know what I was doing and neither did my team

It is an established ecosystem with continued growth and learning
Account Manager (Current Employee) - San Francisco, CA - April 17, 2023
Have a job and having a career are two different thing. Salesforce offers you a career! Plus the customer 360 and the products are genuinely great. The cost is a bit on the premium side but it delivers that quality to the clients. It’s worth it.
Pros
Free lunches, wellness benefits
Cons
No office cabs. Shuttles only for few areas

Dramatic dropoff in quality of life over the past year
Strategic Account Executive (Current Employee) - New York County, NY - April 11, 2023
If you’re into politics and micromanagement, this just might be the place for you! Severe dip in the leadership talent level across sales and product, now managing through fear and spreadsheets. Not actually “leading” at all.
