So bad would actually have such high anxiety that it lead to panic attackd. Within a 2 month period they lost they lost 6 staff 5 of which were nurses just on 6th floor alone
Unless you are in management in which there is not a limit to sick time off and you don't have to qualify for fmla , so after 5 months you can take 4-6 weeks off and not be penalized for it. All others better pray they have perfect healt. If you miss 4 or 5 days in a year they have you sign a ridiculous plan saying you will not miss any days for 6 months. How on earth can you predict the future. I don't know of anyone who schedules their illnesses to fit a policy.

As a nurse you work 12 hour shifts 3 times a week. You are always going to get called to pick up extra shifts.
Due to high patient to staff ratios, very low pay to the point of embarrassment, and supervisors having their hands tied , I fear the future is very bleak. A huge portion of nursing staff are now travel nurses. MedSurg nurses often have 7-9 pts with one tech, ccu 3 and sometimes 4 pts and no tech. Patient care doesn't matter, it's strictly about the numbers unfortunately.

The clinics are shortstaffed and being poured too many different directions. The operations manager does not take care of her employees it does not respond to emails that they sent her
