It depends on the role and what you are looking to do in your career. We have many roles/positions/facilities where an employee can progress to a Lead and then to a supervisor or manager. Also we have a variety of sites throughout the state of Michigan where one can grow with the organization especially if they are relocating to those areas.

It depends upon the individual and the particular position. Each position undergoes background checking based upon the regulations or requirements from the job description. We use a third party background vendor for pre-hire contingent items. Generally most will be through onboarding within 2 weeks and some as little as a couple days.

An employee must work for any organization for 12 months to qualify for Family Medical Leave (FML) and have 12 weeks leave. For those who do not qualify for FML we would pursue and Americans Disability Act (ADA) leave for 6 weeks leave in cases of maternity prior to FML eligibility

The start off pay is low and does not compensate for the work performed, you are told you get a raise in 90 days but you don't get it and the annual raise is 3% of nothing so you get about 15 cents if you're lucky

Unfortunately because of the nature of the business that Samaritas operates hours are contingent on contracts, clients, governmental entities, and need. While we have quite a few positions with more set hours, the nature of our social services business dictates a wide variety of work hours.

Samaritas PTO accruals are divided into tiers depending on the level of the position. Our contingent positions current do not accrue benefits. Our other positions can be anywhere from 4.62 PTO accrual hours per pay period to 8 hours per pay period.
