Delivery Driver (Former Employee) – Philadelphia, PA – July 24, 2019
If you don't mind the constant work load; Jumping in and out of the van over 200 times per day while delivering the packages; working in ANY type of weather. Then this is the place for you. However, after a while, the job will ware your body down. The weekly pay is good especially of you plan on paying some bills off.
Delivery Driver/Warehouse (Former Employee) – Traverse City, MI – August 16, 2019
Having to maintain all that you do for the hourly wage they pay. If you have a good background and can pass a drug test your better off applying at FedEx or UPS they pay way better for doing exactly the same work.
Having to lift heavy packages or furniture by youeself.
Truck Driver (Former Employee) – Grand Rapids, MI – August 13, 2019
Communication lacks throughout every department. Dispatchers will try to use every last minute on your clock and then try to push you beyond that and they know better but still do it. Repairing equipment isn't high on their list. You have to literally take the truck in drop it off same with a trailer and force the issue for it to even be looked at most times and even if you do drop off equipment at the shoo it's more than likely going to go back out on the road later that day or the next day without being properly fixed.
cons: part time. fixed schedule with no overtime. Pay was not worth the stress. heavy lifting and lots of stairs. tips arent always guaranteed. shoprite team was not always on time and occasionally unorganized.
pros: some customers really appreciate your service and thats worth it. music and/or radio all day. company pays for truck gas and maintenance. no boss around. friendly shoprite team
Delivery Driver (Former Employee) – Traverse City, MI – June 17, 2018
Traverse City front office is unorganized. The warehouse team is excellant yet not supported. Dispatch is afraid to communicate with driver staff which makes customer service much more difficult. Pay is below the norm for a CDL driver in the area where it is easy to find equivalent work starting at $15/hr plus benefits rather then $12.50 etc.
Driver/Operator (Former Employee) – Elizabeth, NJ – January 23, 2018
I do not recommend this job to anyone. I worked at same day delivery for about 7 to 9 months. Everyone was stressed out every day. Like 7 of us got hired at the same time with the promise of a pay increase after 3 months. I was there for 7 month and none of us got the increase that they promise. Poor management
Good place to work. Owners are very nice and encouraging.
Driver (Former Employee) – Elizabeth, NJ – December 23, 2017
Great place to work but having to pick the vehicle at a location in Carteret new Jersey and loading in Elizabeth new Jersey and dropping the vehicle back to Carteret new Jersey are added job that was not compensated for. Very ridiculous arrangements.
Picking vehicles and dropung locations are very discouraging.
may or may not be long work hours lots of deliveries depending on where you work in nyc or long island
Delivery Driver (Current Employee) – New York, NY – October 24, 2017
may or may not be long work hours lots of deliveries depending on where you work in nyc or long island. can be hired as an independent contractor driver or as a company driver paid by the hour or dispatcher at the office
Delivery Person (Current Employee) – NYC – August 24, 2017
Good place to for as a part time job, but would prefer doing another job because the job is very slow during summer time. Not all customers tip deliverers, yet the company still takes tips off the employees' paycheck.
