good first job to go into
Service specialist, cashier, produce clerk (Former Employee) –  Reno, NV 89523January 21, 2019
it is a good first job just to get a career experience but i don't recommend staying there unless you go for management because the pay isn't as good unless you go into management
Pros
works around school
Cons
not good benefits, pay is little low, and the schedule changes every week not a set schedule

Fun at times, I enjoyed the customers and they enjoyed me, I had customers young and old that would ask for my help personally.
Produce Clerk (Former Employee) –  Reno, NVJuly 23, 2017
I enjoyed the work, it kept me busy. What I didn't enjoy was that they kept changing management so it was hard to show that you are a hard worker when they don't know you, it's like starting over all the time. The environment was nice though.

Produce/Customer Service Clerk (Current Employee) –  Vallejo, CAMay 8, 2017
Policies are dumb. The only way to get a pay raise is doing about 1000+ hours after checker trained has completesd even then the raise is only about 15-25 cents after 1000+ hours. This is a good job for 16yro. You will not make a living here.
Pros
Cool Co-workers
Cons
Management, pay, hours.

Management does not care about you
Service Specialist/Produce Clerk (Current Employee) –  Clovis, CAApril 25, 2017
My experience here was very bad and stressful. Management just simply does not care about its employees, favoritism is in full force, "experienced" workers try to make newer coworkers do their job for them and there is just an overall lack of respect towards anyone that is not in a management position. Also, once you get in trouble, the main manager will call you in to the office to tell you that you suck at your job as he proceeds to slide papers off of his desk and into the your face.
Pros
Some Coworkers
Cons
Practically everything

Don't waist your time. I was a people person until I worked here.
produce clerk/multiple titles (Current Employee) –  multipleAugust 26, 2015
This place is only meant to work short term. When there too long they will work you crazy hours (no longer will have a life), keep pushing you to work harder per hour instead of having help, then really push you to quit or get fired when you really make too much money. But if you can hang in there... It is stable and you become a family of people who hate their job. Lol. Produce requires lots of lifting which will tear your back up and lots of fast pace moving. No matter how fast you work its never good enough. Then to top it off the rude ppl who always want fresher product out the back and mess all your hard work in seconds.
Pros
Stability, money, benefits
Cons
tough work, mean customers

Produce Clerk (Current Employee) –  Delano, CAFebruary 15, 2013
It's a fairly fast-paced job with a opportunities to expand experiences. Holidays are the hardest part of the job but you are almost required to talk and be outgoing, so it lessens the stress.
