Fun Place to Work
Bank Teller and Float Bank Teller (Former Employee) –  Danbury, CTJune 11, 2018
This is a very professional bank that still manages to have a laid back environment and creates a family atmosphere. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a bank to work at that isn't focused on #'s and more on customer service as a priority.
Pros
Family Environment
Cons
Not the greatest health insurance

Not advisable to work here
Teller (Former Employee) –  Waterbury CTApril 13, 2018
Vindictive supervisor, passive-aggressive behaviors. Unattainable sales goals for demographic region.
Manager did not manage staff well, and did not deal with personnel issues.
Will fire people for any reason usually around the time they are almost fully vested in savings plan
Pros
1 hr lunches

Very friendly and funny environment.
Senior Teller (Former Employee) –  Waterbury, CTOctober 3, 2017
The Savings Bank of Danbury was a very friendly environment. My co-workers were a great group of people to work with. However there were only 2 branches in Waterbury in order to advance in the company I would have to commute to Danbury which is almost a 35 minute drive. The branch manager/ vice president of the bank was a delight to work for.
Pros
Flexible hrs., very understanding, extremly respectful supervisor, co-workers.
Cons
Only 2 branches in the Waterbury area.

horrible place to work
Collection Administrator (Former Employee) –  Danbury, CTJuly 13, 2017
Day to day nonsense of sales and growth, when in reality this company is getting rid of long term employees by cutting jobs and raising money. This bank is probably the worst to work for especially pay, for a bank that is building brand new branches every other year.
Pros
none
Cons
everything this bank has to offer

Poor morale and lack of Senior Management Leadership
retail executive (Former Employee) –  ConnecticutJune 21, 2017
Employees in the branches are great but they lack a strong senior management leadership team. Lack of communication is an issue that has been identified but not addressed. Turnover id high as a result.
Pros
good people in the branches
Cons
Senior Management lacks leadership and communication skills

Great place.
Teller (Current Employee) –  Waterbury, CTJune 22, 2015
It is fast paced and makes you use your mind to solve problems which i really enjoy. There were a lot of legal rules to learn but once you get them, picking up on them become second nature in the day to day trails.
Pros
Bank hours
Cons
Federally followed rules
