Production Artist (Former Employee) – Columbus, OH – April 15, 2018
A typical day was finalizing print materials and creating presentation materials for a wide variety of clients. Working with art directors to achieve professionally layouts, print and presentation materials. Maintain production, design and process standards of the highest quality.
I learned to remain patience, stay organized, and be timely.
Management was always advising how to complete task in a timely manner without getting overwhelm.
Workplace culture was SBC trying to conduct things like a real family work environment.
The most difficult thing about the job was trying not to get overwhelmed due to the fast pace of the job.
The most enjoyable part of the job was the people and completing of any and all task we were assigned.
The slow, tragic death of a once promising advertising agency
Executive (Current Employee) – Columbus, OH – February 8, 2017
SBC Advertising used to be the hot, up-and-coming agency that everyone wanted to work for. That was before a holding company purchased the agency and installed a CEO that doesn't have the slightest idea how to run an agency. Clients are bleeding out. Everyone is miserable. There is NO WORK-LIFE BALANCE. Culture is dismal. If you want to work for a print house that only produces catalogs and miserable circulars, this is the place for you.
great location. Okay, funky building. Very casual dress code
Everything, Executives are lost, A ton of backstabbing politics, Don't ever speak up if you want to keep your job
Director of Corporate Development (Current Employee) – Miami, FL – June 1, 2016
Great company - If you are in Columbus Ohio......Miami Office feels like a distant detachment from the mother ship. Lack a true senior leadership in the Miami operations and focus is more on other office, not Miami for growth.
With my experience in the business-to-business department, I was able to hone the unique skills of interacting and collaborating with various departments in a retail driven, full-service marketing and advertising agency. With creative and account directors, digital marketers, and strategic communications managers, teams were assigned projects to promote ad campaigns for fortune 500 clients. Very enjoyable workplace and enthusiastic approach to a marketing-driven business.
