TRUCK DRIVER (Former Employee) – Green Bay, WI – December 20, 2013
A typical day involves driving a diesel truck cross country. I learn about the life a truck driver. Management did the best job they could. A truck driver is probably alone most of the time but when i did meet other drivers they were courteous and helpful. The hardest part of the job is being a focused driver. The most enjoyable part of the job is that i got to see the rest of the country.

I liked working at Schneider. Corporate management and DBL's were great. Schneider will train you and then employ you after training to begin your truck driving career. Great company to start your career with. Schneider is great about giving you scheduled home times and other days off when you need it. Getting help for driver problems was very good up to 5pm. After 5pm, sometimes not always, it takes a long time to get problems resolved because of less staffing at night. Schneider is fair with pay per experience. Overall, Schneider is a very good company to work for.

Training is poor, pay is poor, hometime is poor. the company make a big deal over little things. They will put you in a manual transmission even if you can't drive one. Overall a very poor company to work for a beginner.
