Who do we serve?
SANY encompasses three charter schools across central New York: the Syracuse Academy of Science, the Utica Academy of Science, and the Syracuse Academy of Science and Citizenship. We are a public charter school, and all students eligible to enroll in public schools in New York State are eligible to enroll. If the number of eligible applications for admission exceeds the spaces available for scholars, a publicly audited lottery will be held. How do we connect with parents?
Students’ success and performance are affected not only by teachers, but also by their parents and environment. Therefore, parental involvement is a significant part of our school’s strategic goals. The school’s teachers perform home visits to understand the students’ problems and abilities and to create a better triad of parent-student-teacher relationships.
What makes us special?
What makes working at a SANY school special? It could be our average student to teacher ratio of 13:1, classrooms equipped with modern technology, or maybe there is just some magic in the air around here. Take a moment to apply today, and see the magic for yourself.
