Network Technician (Former Employee) –  Plano, TX 75074August 14, 2018
Nice place to work with good understanding supervisors. My job was sometimes on Microwave assignments involving achieving good RSL but mostly maintenance on routers so requires a lot of driving and working on the boom truck to access routers mounted on street lights so it requires mental alertness and being careful with road traffic but in all, it updates your IT experience. There are so many IT related assignments; WiFi, Wimax, router configuration using CL
Pros
Updates your IT experience
Cons
Be very careful with traffic

Project Manager (Current Employee) –  Lombard, ILJuly 23, 2018
Some days are long, others are short- they allow for flex hours because of this. Lots of rewards and recogniziation for your hard work! Tons of room to grow and advance if you are a good worker!

Assistant (Former Employee) –  Lombard, ILAugust 10, 2017
This is a company culture that doesn't reward you just for doing your job. We're all adults, no trophies here for showing up. You do whats expected and produce results you will have job security. You want to grow within; the opportunities are small but exist. However, it is up to you to prove yourself worthy of advancement. Little to know micromanagement, I find that a plus. Help is available but you are very much responsible for yourself. Smaller, privately owned company, so additional help many not always be there. For those considering employment be sure your up to the task and clear of the expectations and able to deliver without much oversight.
Pros
Working with fun, easy going, and brilliant men/woman in an exciting field.
Cons
Difficult to catch on to some of the engineering lingo. But you do eventually.

Systems Engineer (Former Employee) –  Timber Lake, SDJune 5, 2017
The pay can be good if you can negotiate a fair salary. Hourly worker may make more since the weeks are long and include lots of travel. At least 80 percent out of state.

If you like to be paid salary and work 50 to 60 hours a week with no extra time off then this is the company for you. The company is focused on outdoor wireless systems and installation services.

Very Good Company
Senior RF/Network Engineer (Former Employee) –  Dallas, TXOctober 6, 2016
Great company with a good management. Had a wonderful 8 years with the company. I am sure they are on the right track. We did a lot of work for municipals in the area with all of them giving good reviews. As a Wireless Network engineer I designed many wireless projects and preconfigured equipment for each project. I also tested each project to make sure what I designed worked properly and made changes if necessary.

Scientel was a great company to work for.
Project Manager (Former Employee) –  Sidney, NYSeptember 9, 2013
Scientel cared about it's employees. My job was as Project Manager. I learned many things about the Telecommunication Business working with the installers, our Contractor and the major Phone Companies. The hardest part of the job was telling the installers there was no work for that particular week as this business is up and down from week to week. The most enjoyable part of this job was the satifsfaction when the job was completed and all had done a great job to complete it.

Career setback/entry level
RF (Former Employee) –  Lombard, ILJune 20, 2012
You'll be overworked and WAY underpaid. Management are uneducated tyrants, who they hire, from failed business they formerly owned, or couldn't cut it in mainstream corporate america roles.

Most have no education, or social skills, expecting you to work many hours, often unpaid. All hours are expected to be billed as billable hours and are 'project based'. Meaing, if you work them, and they think it shouldn't have taken that long, your time will be denied-REPEATEDLY- until they fit, into what they see as reasonable.

Promised full time employment expecting 40 hours a week? If they don't have anything you won't get the 40 hours. If you're salaried, it gets more ridiculous. You'll also be expected to provide your own tools, and materials for all projects.
Pros
this is an 'ok' place to work, if you've got zero experience in the wireless arena. lots of 'chiefs' and not enough 'indians'.
Cons
long hours, projects always overpromised and underbid.
