A typical day was to make sure that no calls were sitting in the queue for a long time. The best thing was to try to resolve the issue in one call. That was hard to do when you had to minimize the number of calls. There were a lot of calls for complete medical records by lawyers that often were a hundred pages and more. Then you had to a daily report - more... of the amount of calls you took and the amount of follow-up you had as a result of the calls.
