Poor Company to work for
Airport Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Newport, ORJuly 25, 2018
SeaPort Airlines was only in Newport because of a government grant. Once the grant was used up they pulled out. The company was ran by a chief pilot that had never managed before and it showed.

Good company to work for. Laid back environment, easy training. Great perks and benefits. Sadly company closed due to bankruptcy, otherwise I'd still be working there.

Great engaging job, with great benefits.
Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORDecember 21, 2016
A typical day at work would include:
-marshaling in planes
-filing paperwork
-helping customers
-loading bags onto plane
-working ticket counter
-checking in customers

Very fun co workers, and an upbeat job so it keeps you on your toes.
Best part of the job is getting to know all of the coworkers and pilots, great people.
Pros
Flight benefits, good people
Cons
Busy, rude customers

Aircraft Dispatcher (Former Employee) –  Portland, OR 97204October 23, 2016
Loved working there! New Management did a lot to turn that company around. Would have loved to continue working there, however the Airline/company is currently in Bankruptcy.

Great airline to work for. Also a good, affordable airline to commute back & forth on. Taught me a lot about how to be an efficient employee.

Where your coworkers became your friends
Lead Customer Service Agent (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNSeptember 21, 2016
This was a fun airline to work for. You had the opportunity to meet dozens of pilots as they journeyed through their career, work closely with the maintenance team and build friendships with your coworkers.

Productive and exciting workplace
Customer Service Rep. (Former Employee) –  Memphis, TNAugust 27, 2016
Duties included processing new and modified reservations over the phone and in person via computer terminal. Weigh, process and assist with loading and unloading of passenger baggage. Greet passengers for incoming and outgoing flights. Check in passengers and planes. Clean interior aircraft cabins as needed. Provide general information and customer service. Duties also included maintaining terminal facility and equipment so as to ensure a neat, clean, safe and efficient operating environment and passenger terminal. Process and complete cargo bills as appropriate. Reserve ground transportation per station procedures. Create manifest for pilots as needed. I also documented the airplanes’ on and off times, and following appropriate weight and balance procedures.

Cross Utilized Agent (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORAugust 17, 2016
pay was fair and the work you were asked to do was relatively stress free. Not a lot of room for growth in the company. Everyone pretty much had the same job

This company and management is horrible!!!!!!
Customer Service Rep. (Former Employee) –  Sacramento, CAJune 2, 2016
This company I believed was great. I have worked in the Airline industry for years and was excited to work for a company just coming to Northern California. They started out the very first day of work with having all the employees carrying printers for the bag tags to and from the counter in a soda cooler. They also had the employees excepting money from customers for baggage fees and then they were using them for food in the break room, and ink for the printers. They also had several complaints from the pilots. The pilots would laugh about the company and say they had to live in terrible hotel rooms. Then they were given a room to share that had broken furniture. The company then stoppd paying the fueler's in Burbank Ca but informed all of the west coast employees they had nothing to worry about. Two weeks later they informed us our last day would be the following day. The were shutting down all of the west coast locations and about four in the mid-west as well. The stayed up for 1 year and have done this more than once. They are in it to make money. Customers who bought tickets could only get their money back if the flight was cancelled due to mechanical issues. If it was weather related they could not be refunded. So the planes would always break down so what they started doing was telling people they couldn't fly due to fog right before they enter their destination so they would not have to refund people.

Spent nine months with SeaPort before pilot shortage caused a number of cutbacks. Good company with good vision, enjoyed my time with them.

Station Manager (Current Employee) –  San Diego, CADecember 9, 2015
A good company to learn about the airline industry. Has provided me the opportunity to learn not only about the intracies of small airlines but how our operation relates to the larger airlines. The pay could be a little closer to market value.
Pros
Travel benefits
Cons
Having to handle passengers when flights are cancelled.

Customer Service Agent (Current Employee) –  Burbank, CASeptember 28, 2015
Great flight benefits, cool job for people looking for something laid back with decent pay. Only sucked when there were flight delays and you were required to stay. Not too often but you never knew until the last minute.

Good foot in the door for aviation
Aircraft Dispatcher (Current Employee) –  Portland, ORAugust 11, 2015
SeaPort is a very small 135 company struggling, like all 135 operators, in the global pilot shortage. Even though the day to day operations can get depressing coworkers work well with one another and are up beat and fun.

Pilot wise they hire at mins and upgrade VFR captains at mins. Its a good place to start for turbine time.
Pros
Decent flight benifits, good experience
Cons
Low wage

A great place to get fired from.
Station Manager (Former Employee) –  Nashville, TNJuly 29, 2015
Normally negative environment due to the constant cancellations.
Station Managers have little power and are not further trained from a regular CSA.
Upper management will take one side of a story, not even ask for another party's, then act upon the initial story.
Pros
Free Flights
Cons
Communication within the company severely lacks, constant cancellations, shady upper management
