The work enviroment is easy and fun depending on your location of the store. Other than that I do not reccommend working here it is always understaffed for example its like pulling teeth to try and get someone to cover your lunch break. All management including leads doesn't care about you they are not considerate of anything like school or a death in the family as I've seen and experienced at my time working at Sears. They also have fun changing your schedule whenever they want and feel like and the best part is that sometimes they don't even tell you.

The hours are NEVER stable unless you are full time which is being a manager or lead. There is no guarantee you'll have the same hours next week. Which is why I do not reccomend working here because it is not stable or guaranteed.

After reading all these answers, I have realized that apparently their HR manager has not explained all the benefits to their FT employees, leaving then in the dark... When I was HR Lead for Sears Holding Company, that was one of my duties, to keep everyone on the same page and let them know that they could opt for the medical insurance thru the company or you could go to a local insurance broker and get awesome medical with little to none deductible. That's what I did and I kept Sears' great vision and dental. I took my position very seriously and when the FT employees cost for their medical increased the following year, I sought out other plans thru a insurance broker. So, it all depends on how your HR Lead takes their job... Seriously or not! I remember when I worked here during High School, 30 years ago... The part time cashier's, that was my position, back then... We received our birthdays off with pay, we were paid in cash every Friday, we had Exceptional deals and savings, our families were able to shop with extra special deals when the store was closed to the public, especially during the holidays. The vibe was that of a family..
