Depressed. Had to deal with rude managers that didn't care about anyone. Had to deal with customers who are upset with the company but decided to take it out on the cashiers instead of the managers. Managers yelled at you if you called them to deal with a customer even though customers don't listen to anyone besides managers. No a/c so employees got sick a lot. Was not respected unless you got credit apps from customers. They openly showed favortism, certain employees didn't have to do anything because they got credit apps. Managers told us we weren't good enough so we had to do all the work to make up for not getting apps. Tried telling managers employees were forging customers, told me i was defiant.

Not optimistic. Upper echelon of management, i.e. Chicago has set impossible goals without allowing enough help to accomplish these goals to the remaining stores. If only company could get into competent hands that care about the future of this great retail icon and it's employees there may be hope, but that, I'm afraid will never be allowed to happen.
