This is a fast paced job at all levels. There are pros and cons like any job, but the cons far out weigh the pros. Especially at SEI Aarons!!! Double standards run rampant, they flip flop their position on the way they want their business run so many times you never know the right way they want it done. They also preach about values and how they treat their associates, but said values only apply when it's to their benefit. They will transfer you from store to store to try and improve the districts numbers. This move usually means a pay cut as you can earn 16.5% of the quarterly profit from a store, but the move usually means you went from a profitable store to a unprofitable store. They tell you to run the store as if it's your business, but then micro manage you to no end and question your every decision. Favoritism runs rampant through upper level management. If your not into brown nosing or being one of the "good ol boys" then be prepared to be targeted for dismissal. SEI is the largest Aarons franchise, maybe it would have been better at a corporate store. Hitting numbers and making a profit aren't the only things you have to be worried about here. So be prepared for long hours, high turnover and high stress levels.
Building relationships with customers and co-workers
Not enough time to list them all.
