Senior PsychCare’s unique collaborative care model delivers psychiatric and psychological services to individuals in Nursing Homes and Assisted Living Facilities across Texas. Working closely with nursing home staff we achieve a better quality of life for seniors, staff and their families.

Specific services offered include neuropsychological testing, management of psychotropic medications advanced senior-specific telemedicine and overall behavioral health. A key element of our service is the careful coordination with nursing home staff through regular behavioral health rounds, which allows us to ensure each patient is getting the collaborative care they need.

Our teams are highly specialized, with Board Certified Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, Licensed Psychologists, and Licensed Clinical Social Workers. The Psychiatrists on staff not only provide collaboration with the mid-levels, but also evaluate and treat patients. Senior PsychCare practices continuity of care, rather than a triage approach. We also offer telehealth services when appropriate.

Senior PsychCare providers largely work in the field, rather than an office setting. You have the flexibility to mold your schedule to best fit your lifestyle. Regional Directors are accessible 24/7, so providers have the support they need. Working for Senior PsychCare, there’s no limit to your potential.

NP in Texas

The work is rewarding. You see your patients during regular working hours then have to complete the notes in evening and weekend hours. Low pay for amount of hours put in. Poor communication from management about changes. Office staff is very helpful when needed.

Given miscommunication since day one. No real orientation/training. Many of the facilities that they are affiliated with have more complaints than good to say about them. Huge NP turnover due to poor standards. They are interested in hiring someone to fix all the problems that previous NP left behind, like prescribe antipsychotics to dementia pts. You will be an on call provider as well without th...

Psych Tech in Austin, TX

It's an ok company, there's so much improvement that could be made in the way people communicate. I know I've emailed people about things and I either get a response right away or I get no response at all from others. A team communicates and this doesn't feel like a team, it feels like an "every person for themselves and CYA" type of company.

This company is ethical and cares about admin and clinical staff. The owner is a psychiatrist. They have low turnover and are highly regarded in the industry.
