Job autonomy and flexible schedule
NP (Former Employee) - Texas - May 22, 2022
Indeed Featured review
The most useful review selected by IndeedThe work is rewarding. You see your patients during regular working hours then have to complete the notes in evening and weekend hours. Low pay for amount of hours put in. Poor communication from management about changes. Office staff is very helpful when needed.

Deception at its finest in healthcare
PMHNP-BC (Former Employee) - Fort Worth, TX - January 6, 2023
Given miscommunication since day one. No real orientation/training. Many of the facilities that they are affiliated with have more complaints than good to say about them. Huge NP turnover due to poor standards. They are interested in hiring someone to fix all the problems that previous NP left behind, like prescribe antipsychotics to dementia pts. You will be an on call provider as well without that being stated in the contract.
Pros
Flexibility if you have small children
Cons
No real care being given. It’s all about the numbers to make money

Biggest mistake of my life
Physical Therapist Assistant (Current Employee) - DFW, TX - May 28, 2022
No support or teamwork. Conflicting information from day one. Received ongoing miscommunication. Routinley provided incorrect information at critical moments

It's ok.
Psych Tech (Current Employee) - Austin, TX - March 4, 2022
It's an ok company, there's so much improvement that could be made in the way people communicate. I know I've emailed people about things and I either get a response right away or I get no response at all from others. A team communicates and this doesn't feel like a team, it feels like an "every person for themselves and CYA" type of company.
Pros
Hours can be flexible.
Cons
I don't even know where to start.

Professional and Inspirational
Regional Operations Manager (Current Employee) - North Texas - September 2, 2020
I've worked with Senior Psych Care for many years. While working with this team I have learned and grown with opportunities that have surpassed my expectations. Management expects dedication, honesty and hard work. In return you see the same in them. I'm honored to work with front line workers who daily put others before themselves. It's not always easy and yes, it can be stressful; especially during the pandemic. Senior Psych Care is a TEAM, from management, administrative, to field provider's working together.
Pros
Flexibility, Support and availability from management and staff.
Cons
Pandemic, Keeping up with the new normal and regulations.

Senior Psychcare is a good company with flexibility and integrity.
Therapist/Counselor (Current Employee) - Dallas-Fort Worth, TX - August 27, 2020
I consider my job rewarding. The flexibility works well with my schedule, and I enjoy working in the field. Working behind a desk from 8am-5pm is not for me. I experience my teammates as kind and helpful. Management really tries to provide a respectful and safe environment. The pay is definitely fair. The hardest part of my job is completing and filing my notes. The best part of the job is interacting with the patients, especially during the COVID pandemic.
Pros
Flexibility, Teamwork, and Responsive Management
Cons
IT problems

Trust the former employees’ reviews
Therapist/Counselor (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - August 24, 2020
Trust the former employees not the current ones. Apparently, current upper managers have been writing how good the company is. Take notes on the former employees and improve
Pros
No
Cons

Progressive Thinking, Quality Care for Patients, and Great Communication with Facility Staff
Regional Director (Current Employee) - North Texas - January 4, 2020
My employment with SPC began approximately 10 years ago. I have worked as a licensed psychologist in the field and in management. My experience with C-level executives has been very positive. They are loyal, supportive, fair and encourage individual creativity. Staff in the corporate office are diligent in providing a culturally diverse and caring environment.
As a manager, you cannot please everyone, but we make every effort to appreciate and respect our co-workers/colleagues. This job requires time management, a positive attitude and the willingness to adapt. The hours are flexible, and employees are given much autonomy. We have significantly expanded over the last four years, which naturally comes with growth edges. Our EHR system could be better, and is a work in progress. One of the most rewarding aspects of the job is working intricately with the providers, admin staff and patients. The psych and therapy providers were carefully selected through a multi-step recruiting and interviewing process. They are exceptional individuals and professionals with strong ethics.

Toxic Environment & Terrible Leadership, Unorganized Chaos
Therapist (Former Employee) - Texas - July 24, 2019
Constant turnover. Poor wages. Paychecks are wrong , rarely corrected. Commute at least 1 hour one way. Difficulty contacting management followed by resolutions or feedback. Only interaction with management is about for the completion of billing. Small private company concerned only about revenue. Difficulty completing charting & other job requirements because of poor infrastructure. Constant disorganized & unethical practices. The training is a joke. The pay is too low with little to no raises. $.50 an hour raise is fantastic to them. Most dramatic corporate office I have dealt with in my career. HR might as well be nonexistent. Wants you to work on major holidays because that affects their bottom dollar. Not uncommon for people to quit within a week due to fear of losing their license. Unless you like daily hassles at work keep looking for a job & don't work here.
Pros
Health insurance to deal with stress
Cons
Long gours & commutes, leadership, low wages, hateful management

Decent company to work for but pay isn’t the best for amount of work you do
Scribe/Psych Tech/ Medical Transcriptionist (Former Employee) - Dallas, TX - May 15, 2019
SPC is a good company to work for. The only reason I didn’t stay any longer is I felt there was no room for advancement in pay. I loved who I worked with. Management was good. They have bad days just like everyone else. The work load is heavy for anyone working with a MD. You are expected to do several jobs as a psych Tech.
Pros
Flexibility with time; good atmosphere
Cons
Stuck at pay you are hired with, health insurance expensive

Growing Strong
Regional Operations Manager (Current Employee) - Houston, TX - May 3, 2019
The Houston region is growing strong with plenty of opportunities to penetrate the markets around Houston. During my time here we have been able to expand the services that we provide. This career has allowed for me to further enhance my current skill sets and develop new ones. The current Regional Director and I have great rapport and they have been able to optimize the region. The entire Houston region is very collaborative and supportive.
Pros
Team oriented, Collaboration, Autonomy
Cons
Vacation/Sick days, Fast paced, Resources

Nice place to work
Nurse Practitioner (Current Employee) - Irving, TX - September 16, 2018
I enjoy my job. You pretty much make your own schedule. You are left alone as long as you do your job. Could things be better? Yes, but that is with any job. The two main thing that I have a problem with is we have constant server problems which keeps us behind on notes. This alone would make a person very frustrated and want to look for a job somewhere else. And our composition pkg could be better more PTO time and 401 K match would be nice.
Management has been nice and easy to work with in the local Irving office they have been supportive and try to offer solutions to problems. If I have a question about a patient diagnosis or medications they always have an answer to my questions. This is a job where you need to be able to work independently and have good time management skills. If you are someone that needs an 8-5 job or need everything hand fed to you then this is not for you.
Overall SPC has been good to me.
Pros
Nice managment, Flexable schedual
Cons
Constant IT problems.

Paid Vacation, Health, Dental & Vision Options, 401k
Cons
Parking area limited within vacinity of building and street.

Great company overall to work for!
Psych Tech (Current Employee) - Beaumont, TX - June 4, 2018
Senior Psych Care provides a flexible work schedule and provides support from corporate staff to assist in you job as needed. There have been many employees who have with the company for many years who help make sure you can get your work done and get the support you need. The company is committed to helping you grow as the company also grows. The job is repetitive yet the work is not over demanding. I enjoy the team at senior psych care, and would recommend the job to others. Its a great company to work for.
Pros
Flexible schedules, Corporate Support
Cons
Sometimes computer issues slow down your work

Great place to work.
Administration (Current Employee) - Administration - May 1, 2018
I know there are a lot of bad reviews on here; however, I have had a very positive experience at this company. The company does provide health insurance, vision, dental, life insurance, and PTO. You can also purchase additional coverage at a reasonable rate.
Management expects quality work from there employees, but they also take care of their employees. You truly get the family vibe working here. The company is very democratic, and they are open to any ideas to improve the work place.
I actually enjoy coming to work everyday!
Pros
Pot lucks, free food

Poor Management resulting from poor leadership by owner
Counselor (Former Employee) - Houston, TX - January 17, 2018
The above is true of this company. Also, lack of motivation by employees due to lack of raises (Employed with them for 5 years, with no raise)., constant auditing of paperwork, and no recognition for doing well.
Pros
Occasional free lunches
Cons
All of the above
