I have always had the best experiences with my co workers. They have taught me so much. I have "floated" to a few different locations, and always treated like a part of the team.

Sentara has great promise but poor execution. They have great ideas and are forward thinking, but the old guard and the new guard clash creating dysfunction and employees are caught in the middle.

Overall I loved some of my coworkers but management was awful! I was expected to work almost 60hrs a week as a non-clinical employee and management was upset when I asked to not be scheduled more than 40 hours. Often times would be scheduled to work until 11pm on a Sunday and expected to be back by 5am-6:30am Monday morning. I never felt appreciated by management.

Overall, it’s a decent job working in the Dietary Department. Constantly had to deal with lazy coworkers who wouldn’t complete all necessary work therefore leading to the next worker doing double the amount of work.Management favors who they want.

I loved my team at SPAH. One of the best places I've worked. Pay could've been better but it was a great work environment. Organized unit and clear-cut policies and procedures.
