I worked for Rehab Services. Management play a lot of head games and use manipulation to get what they want. If management didn't like you, they would find a reason to fire you. The Performance evaluation system is a joke.
The management is very lazy when doing the evaluations, and no matter how hard you work, it's never reflected above a rating of 3. The morale is very low and thetes a high turnover rate. I wouldn't recommend anyone to work in that department.
If you were in charge, what would you do to make Sentara Healthcare a better place to work?
Create a culture of family and together. Albemarle is a very negative atmosphere
Management lies and despite documented evidence HR does not make an effort to make amends.
Face to face when possible, otherwise Skype. Interviewers are very friendly and it is easy to let your guard down if you aren't careful.
How long does it take to get hired from start to finish at Sentara Healthcare? What are the steps along the way?
Started orientation about a month after my initial interview. Received job offer a week after interview then had to clear background check, health screening, references, etc. Training takes place every 2 weeks so sometimes you have to wait for the next session.
Again, the hours were not good. Changed frequently. I would be waking up to work the afternoon shift, and they would call or text me to come in three hours before my scheduled shift. This happened at least twice a month.
