TWO DECADES: SENTINEL’S 20-YEAR TRACK RECORD OF SUCCESS

Why has Sentinel continued to thrive where other fleets have failed? The credit goes to our employees. Our people are our number-one asset and the reason we’re widely regarded as one of the top fleets in the tank truck industry today.

We were founded in 1996 as a private tank fleet to provide transportation services for our parent companies at the time, Conoco and DuPont. Today, as a wholly owned subsidiary of Phillips 66, we’re known as the go-to company for handling the hardest-to-haul tanker loads. We are a leader in providing the safest, highest quality transportation services for crude oil, fuel, petroleum coke, lube oil and more.

Our professional drivers deliver quality service throughout North America logging over 30 million miles annually. Our strength and dedication to superior customer service begins at our headquarters in Wilmington, Delaware and continues throughout our nationwide network of over 30 terminals.

Great place to work. Must be a self starter and be flexible with your hours of work. Pay is great, never short on work. This job isn’t for everyone, must be self sufficient and able to make decisions on your own. This job requires a higher level of dedication and involvement, if you can’t provide that or want to punch out at 4:59PM everyday, Ryder or Petro is hiring.

Great place to work if you like to be micro managed and watched constantly. They have enough cameras mounted on their trucks to shoot a motion picture. THERES A REASON THEY ARE ALWAYS HIRING!!!!

4 hour interview. Met terminal manager. He described the position and pay and benefits. Then he combed through my entire employment history for the better part of 45 minutes. Every statement on the application was cross-examined with me verbally for discrepancies. Once that was complete , it was a pre trip with the driver trainer , then a 30 mile round trip road test. Use four way flashers at railroad tracks on the road test. Do it shift while driving over tracks. Maintain a lot of following distance. Do not exceed 55mph. Do not use profanity on road test because management reviews the camera and has been known to write people up for this. You then get sent for drug test , physical, and separate lifting test.
