A very fun enviorment

If you love make up and recreating art. This job is for you. You become an artist of your own and practically play with make up all day. There are always new products, therefore there's always something new to learn.
It used to be a fun place to work until everything changed.

It used to be a good place with hours, bonuses and lots of fun activities. It's looking more and more like what it would be like to work at Ulta these days. Very sad that they stopped caring about their employees.

Personality was encouraged in order to build relationship as a cast and with clients. All training was done within store. Began as a cashier during holiday season and worked in every department except leadership during my time. Was able to develop the my role and take steps necessary to make it work within the store.

I loved working at Sephora because I love learning. Sephora is always teaching its cast about brands, products, and making sure they have the tools to succeed once they're on stage. The gratis as a makeup artist Is absolutely amazing. the downfall to it was there were too many people in charge.

Overall average company to work at! Mostly contractors. Lot of churn! No job security. Difficult to get full-time, negative environment lot of time. Work life balance could be better for contractors.

A typical day at work was very busy especially during peek hours and weekends. I was required to multi task and did well. The management team was new but completely turned the store around for the better. I learned a lot and made lasting relationships during my employment. I enjoyed working here.

I enjoy it and have no major complaints or concerns. The only thing I would point out is the inconsistency in hours, unfortunately the hours don't allow you to earn enough to pay your bills. Therefore, I would recommend it as a second job. However, It is a pleasant work environment. Management and the team I work with is amazing and definitely makes the time there that much more enjoyable. Sephora is all about diversity and inclusivity and being boldly yourself. This is something I most admire about the company. This is a company that knows how to make the job enjoyable while still getting work done and meeting the company's expectation. Basically, if you're someone who is able to keep a positive mindset, and come to work to actually 'work' then you'll have no complaints!

Great place for a teenager to work.
They baby sit you all daylong over the ear piece because you need to stay in your zone and can't speak to any of your co workers.
They use to come in to our store and steal all our fragrance, knowing we couldn't do anything, they would come in groups sometimes with M! TELL US TO STAY AWAY FOR THEM!
Our dear management still wanted us to client service these PEOPLE! NO WAY my life is more important than SEPHORA, FRENCH QUARTER , NEW ORLEANS!

Overall I like working for Sephora. I loved meeting new people daily and the perks were amazing!! I love the structure and training programs. However a few store directors and the district managers manipulated employees and made people quit..

If you are thinking of applying to sephora, stop and do it! I grew so much as a makeup artist but also as a person while I was in sephora. The workplace culture is super diverse and judge-free. Thank you for making me a more goal oriented person and taking my makeup artist skills from good to bomb!

It’s not the worst but it definitely comes close. No A.C. so you’re pretty much sweating TO DEATH. Money gets spent on ridiculous things that benefit the workers in no way. But it’s a job with a kind of stable pay some months are harder than others being cut some bills don’t get paid. But coworkers are great it’s the coordinators that play associates no real change is made people are still miserable. The real change when they start at the very top of the chain CEOs alll that.
