Great place to work but I had to drive an hour there and back. I did advance to a higher position and hated to have to leave but couldn't drive the distance anymore

Not a fun place to work
ESW B (Former Employee) –  Rogers, ARFebruary 13, 2018
Supervisors are not flexible and lack of empathy. This is a very demanding and stressing place and having supervisors doing micro-management, tend to make people feel more stressed out about the job.
Pros
the 4O1K is good
Cons
Short breaks, insurance is too expensive, micro-management, lack of empathy, etc.

Engineering Technician (Current Employee) –  Chesapeake, VAFebruary 13, 2018
this is a tough job but the people you work for and with make it a functioning team environment. The contracts they handle can be hit or miss as far as when and where you will actually be working.

Pros
Off weekends/ holidays
Cons
poor management

Benefits are way to expensive. Management seems to know less than employees. No work life balance. To much negativity on a daily bases. Lack of encouragement for employees.

Unorganized, protocol changes daily, and poor communication. Supervisors would not always be told of changes or they would be told at different times.

Simply put, Serco creates good solutions to difficult problems, and the folks that work there are competent, responsible and highly professional.

Liked working for Serco because the pay is pretty good and had decent benefits. Work was easy and laid back. There are minimum standards they require for productivity but they are easy to reach and the company gives frequent feedback on performance. Unfortunately due to nature of work job is not very secure.
Pros

Cons
Job security, lots of turn over

Data Entry
Eligibility Support Worker (Current Employee) –  Wentzville, MOFebruary 5, 2018
Analyzing data and entering it in to applications. Determining if documents were able to resolve inconsistences and sending resolve or insufficient notices. Calling consumers to let them know which documents were required to help solve the issues and help get them approved for health insurance benefits. Always making sure to keep up on the updates and they came in on several different tasks.
Hardest part was all the changes made to our directions because they were always changing.
Most enjoyable was helping the consumers keep their health care.
Management were very nice to work with.
Pros
Health insurance and great pay. And the knowledge I learnt to take to another job.
Cons
Very stressful.
