Shake Shack is a nice place to work for college students

I learned a lot about working together as a team. They have company competitions that helps you get to know other shack employees. The one thing I dislike is the promotional part of the company. You have to take test and quizzes to move up. Your work ethics does not play apart in moving up within the company.

Very fast paced and fun job, need multiple members to help get the job done. Multiple stations to learn so it’s always something to do. Very up Beat and friendly environment. Always something new to learn and always something to get certified for.

They don't give you enough hours, and if you work too many hours they send you home or tell you not to come in. They never follow their policies or guidelines, they don't care much for their staff. The managers have favorites and show favoritism.
Fast paced but managers get into cliques It feels like High School all over again.

Feels like High School and managers show favoritism and break off in to little cliques. It started out fun but eventually all your hard work is for nothing because you can't earn more unless you take a test to be a trainer and that's not fair.

Its a fast pace dinning experience. Customer service is the number one priority. The management team is great they are very understanding and is willing to work with you. The hardest part was when you first start working there and the lunch rush and the kids that's on trips visiting the near by museums. I enjoyed working at shake shack because everything we did was done as a team and the team was always looking out for one another.
30 minute breaks was not enough working 8-12 hour shifts

Shake shack is for someone who is in high school. They have no benefits. The management sucks! They write you up without informing you. They do a lot of stuff that management shouldn’t do. Their rude. They made me clean up human defecation without any assistance. They pick with you. They show favoritism. The most benefits you receive is the discount on food. No 401k. They donot inform you when they need you to improve on things. Barely any hours, but if someone call out you have to pick up their slack or wait for someone to relieve you so they make you stay even if you have obligations. They hire people without proper training so the food is not shack standards or the prep is not standard.
