Trainer/Server Cross Trainer New Store Opener (Former Employee) – Dallas, TX – May 23, 2019
After Spending two and a half years with the company starting as a team member, the company sucks. You aren’t considered as an adult with respect but as a child stuck in class. The management lacked experience in leadership. The lack of communication is clear through the operation. As a Cross Trainer with experience I consistently undermined and lacked the confidence in management to get things done.
Shake Shack has a great company culture and takes cares of its employees when it comes to benefits and pay. However it’s definitely WHO you know when it comes to growth and promotion. Management across the board is extremely cliquish so good luck being promoted if you’re not friends with the right people. I wouldn’t recommend, not worth the sleepless nights and endless frustration.

No breaks after working 10 hour shifts 6 days a week. Left work exhausted and came bacm the same. Management never listened or helped. No free drinks. Other locations are a lot better. I recommend century city shake shack the most.
