Forklift Operator (Former Employee) – Hannibal, MO – July 11, 2018
It's a great place to get work experience (forklift), but not preferred for those who have experience in the field. It's very relaxed compared to other warehouses. Communication was the worst I've experienced at any job.
I've been Working As a Female Truck Driver For Sharkey Transportation Since 2009 And Im Still Here And its 2018 I Plan On This Being My Retirment Company. What I Love About Them is They Care About Us Our Well-being Making Sure We Get Our Miles Our Home Time Time Off When We Need It. I'm Very Hapy Here So If You Are Looking For A Good Company Sharkey Transportation Is The Place.
Regional Driver (Current Employee) – Central IL – August 31, 2017
Best company for Communication. Ive had 2 great DM's and they Have a Driver Liaison if you have any concerns. If you need a something they take take care of it. ( special day off, more miles, extended time.) they will work with you. Pay is Consistent... You have to work for it though... Benefits / Ins is 100% premium paid.... the Coverage is great in my area no complaints. IM home every weekend.... I guess the thing I love the best is Im treated like a person / not a Commodity!
Long Haul Driver (Former Employee) – Quincy, IL – August 13, 2017
Skarkey promised guaranteed minimum pay. While working there, I rarely made over the guaranteed minimum. I spent more time sitting in truckstops waiting for dispatchers and planners to find loads than I did actually driving. Their equipment was outdated, underpowered, and worn out.
