The Shasta County Public Defenders Office is a very difficult and stressful place to work. Due to a heavy caseload and inadequate administrative support, it is near impossible for attorneys to do their jobs properly. Attorneys are seriously overworked and overwhelmed and a good work-life balance is very difficult to maintain.
