I sell meat, eggs and grocery items to a customer base of over 70 independent, butchers, convenience stores, restaurants, supermarkets (individual and chain), institutions, and other distributors.
I have learned a great deal about food distribution, including the raising of animals, the slaughter process, HACCP regulations, food warehousing, logistics, marketing and sales.
The management team at Sherwood has decades of experience in the food distribution business.
Sherwood is a fast paced work environment with collaborative relationships between management, sales, warehouse, logistics and account management.
The hardest part of the job is maintaining a high level of sales while competing with other food distributors in the area.
