Awful systems and management .
Pharmacy Technician (Former Employee) - Phoenix, AZ - September 20, 2023
Awful systems and management. They don't support employees. Not a good place to work. Very unorganized, unprofessional and unequal in workload distribution. They were never able to provide a computer that didn't auto restart and reboot 10x a day and held it against me. Don't work here.

Just started but so far the workplace remotely is very inclusive and great! Great work/life balance. Good benefits, pay, and caring environment. My manager and team have made me feel welcome and so far learning and job training going well!

Management is supportive, pay is great and it’s a good job dealing with patients, pharmacy and clinics. None of the usual toxic behavior. Lots of company perks like paid health insurance and generous PTO.

This company truly cares about patients and we are able to make a difference in their lives. The downside is the patient support center is very cliquey and promotions are based on friendship not skill or seniority.

The training is immaculate. Everyone seems to be mission driven and on the same page. It's almost like working for a non-profit, fulfillment wise. It also seems that promoting from within is key to their success.

A Great Place to Work!

I started off at Shields not really knowing what to expect. The work we do is unlike anything I have ever done before but I was up for the challenge. Admittedly, I came in overly confident and accustomed to subpar work cultures that were not inline with that of Shields and as a result, I ran into my fair share of self inflicted bumps and bruises. Shields boasts a culture of KINDNESS and they stand firm in that culture. I wasn’t used to an employer who not only talked the talk but walked the walk. There were times where I could have lost my job and if I were employed with any other employer, I would have but Shields gave me the support and resources I needed in order to be successful and climb up the ladder despite my previous mistakes. They have molded me to become not only the best professional version of myself, but the best personal version of me through that culture of kindness. The things I have learned since being employed with Shields are invaluable. I love what I do, the people I work with and all of the thousands of patients I’ve gotten to help because of the all of the positive support and grace Shields has provided me. I know what I do makes a difference every day because it’s reflected in the level of appreciation the company shows on a consistent basis. There’s no better place to work than Shields!

Great place to work, some managers play favorites and don't listen to their subordinates creating issues, otherwise it is a great company to work for. Great benefits.

Hands down the best job I’ve ever had

Shields is one of the most welcoming and inclusive work environments I have ever been a part of. While many of us are remote, Shields does an excellent job of upholding a positive and uplifting culture among all of its employees. The benefits are absolutely amazing, and upper management always listens to and values input on how they can make work life a happy life for you. There’s tons of room to grow, and Shields makes sure that their employees are always well informed about openings and opportunities for advancement, while management gives you the tools you need to achieve it. Management
Specialty Pharmacy Liaison (Former Employee) - Hartford, CT - April 13, 2023
At Shields Solutions they think that because they start you at a decent Salary an 8 hours job you need to give them 16hours a day. Have no consideration with the employee that works hard at a clinic with demanding Doctors expecting that a Liaison do magic with the medication that they want to prescribe their patients. They want the the liaison to manage from the patients refill, PA, phone calls to onboard it is more than a lot of pressure that they put on an employee. I would not recommend this place to work at all. The management at Hartford Health Hospital is bellow 0 they need to be more caring for patients.

No time for lunch because with the pressure that they put on an employee you prefer to stay working.

Wonderful values and work ethic

I love that you encourage us to create and maintain relationships with our patients!! My 20 years in retail I often formed relationships with my patients and was discouraged from spending a few extra minutes with them to ask them personal questions or answer them if they asked how my boys are growing.. I love that Shields is not like that and encourages those relationships

Everyone is so nice since day one. They actually believe in a job/life balance and are so family oriented. The trainers are excellent and very patient. My supervisor is awesome. I very much like our daily huddles, where they give us tools to better ourselves and get better in our different roles.

I wake up each morning eager to come to work and listen to the different stories from my coworkers. we have a daily morning meeting and they start each morning off positively. I recently just started this position but by the looks of things I am looking forward to having an enjoyable future with Shields.

Poor communication

Too much work thrown at the liaisons from all directions, feel unappreciated by clinic staff. Management is rarely on site, so there is no presence or direction if you need help.
