It seems impossible to conversate with anybody that really makes decisions there they don't seem to care about their shoppers much at all! The pay seems to be going down steadily the amount of jobs is decreasing and they deactivate you without any prior notice and do not care what you have to say about it.

Great pickup job for extra cash

Haven't worked long enough for a thorough review but long enough to review my current experience. I was under the impression base pay for all orders was$15, not the case. Paid per order which can range from $7⬆️. Sometimes you receive no tip. My metro areas are far apart within the same city. You are asked not to smoke in your own vehicle during deliveries. They do have plenty of offers to be claimed, but with me being new I'm learning by trial and error. Many varieties of support available.

Pay is not good at all. They cancelled an order after I drove 20 minutes, shopped for thirty minutes, and was on hold for 30 minutes to find out that after ten minutes on the phone that they would cancel the order. They then had me return the items due to non payment on customer end. After returning they wanted me to upload the receipt for 5 dollars and some change for compensation for nearly two hours of work as I had to drive back home. I did not get five dollars as I am not giving the receipt for 5 dollars. Don’t work with them.

When this company started we were told to build relationships. Most of us with this company from the beginning did that. We have a solid base of customers that take care of us. Overnight that was all taken away. They brought out a preferred program that customers and shoppers were excited about. All that did was recognize our good loyal members and the bad ones that no one wants and they bundle them. Forcing us to choose to take 2 for the price of 1 or nothing at all if we pass. They now have different time bundles. So they want us to deliver the first block end of the hour. Which is terrible service. Customers don’t want to wait until the end of the hour. So what most of us do is keep the different time bundles seperate. So again for 2 hours of work you are paid for 1. Customers and shoppers are leaving in droves. Everyone has been telling them these changes are not good practice and no one cares. Constant issues getting tips. Meijer blames shipt and shipt blames meijer. If you ask them to do a tip audit conveniently you will get your tips. Greed greed greed! If customers are complaining you think they would change. But no. Just gets worse and worse. You can tell the people running this company have no idea what their shoppers do and they don’t care to find out. It’s all about the bottom line. We used to run circles around instacart and now we are the same if not worse

Sucks don't waste your time

First time shoppers 10 orders are given to them for experience. After that 10 you are put in a teir that controls how many orders you get. You start you think this is actually something you can do on side to earn some money.. which is short lived after the 10 orders. After that no orders nothing. I talk to support and they say nothing they can do your zones are slow... so slow that I haven't received an offer all week? Doubtfully, with my 5 star rating.. Stats don't matter either, but I'm not getting into that here. They just hire too many shoppers and most just don't get offers and some just do.

Very Poor Pay

Flexibility is great. The pay is terrible. Tips on my area are awful as well. I wish Shipt would pay more fairly especially for the number of items someone is buying. For example there was an order available that was paying $6 for you to shop for 30 gallons of milk, and 12 pints of heavy whipping cream. Obviously that is a lot to carry, but Shipt doesn’t care about it’s shoppers

You would think that because you're shopping that you'd get paid more than competitors like Doordash or UberEats, but no. The "base" pay does not take your distance from the store into consideration and it should. There's no reason for me to get sent $5 offers constantly to stores 30+ minutes away. On top of that, who would shop for $5 top shop for 30-60 items.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Stressful. Really just not worth the stress at all.What is a typical day like for you at the company?Stressful. Hardly get any orders worth the time and effort put into shopping.

Good job if you have the time/patience

This is a good job if you have a reliable vehicle and the gas prices are good at the time. It is completely dependent upon you and how fast you can shop, but at the same time how quickly the customer replies(if they even do). It is a good way to make decent money most of the time; but it can also prove to be very frustrating.

Shipt also gives alot of perks for working for them. I'm so happy with my job, idk if I'll ever change it! Just text messages and grocery shopping. Grab orders as fast as you can before someone else grabs it.

It used to be very shopper/family oriented. Since Target bought Shipt and it began taking on more stores, their company went from shopper oriented to to money oriented. Shipt used to value their shoppers (I mean REALLY value them)! Now, everyone is replaceable and trying to get a hold of HQ is a NIGHTMARE!!!
