Make your own hours but low pay no job security.

It seems impossible to conversate with anybody that really makes decisions there they don't seem to care about their shoppers much at all! The pay seems to be going down steadily the amount of jobs is decreasing and they deactivate you without any prior notice and do not care what you have to say about it.

Pay daily, work when you want

Great pickup job for extra cash

Haven't worked long enough for a thorough review but long enough to review my current experience. I was under the impression base pay for all orders was$15, not the case. Paid per order which can range from $7⬆️. Sometimes you receive no tip. My metro areas are far apart within the same city. You are asked not to smoke in your own vehicle during deliveries. They do have plenty of offers to be claimed, but with me being new I'm learning by trial and error. Many varieties of support available.

Pay rates, minimal tipping, no gas compensation, first week pay hold.

Don’t do it.

Pay is not good at all. They cancelled an order after I drove 20 minutes, shopped for thirty minutes, and was on hold for 30 minutes to find out that after ten minutes on the phone that they would cancel the order. They then had me return the items due to non payment on customer end. After returning they wanted me to upload the receipt for 5 dollars and some change for compensation for nearly two hours of work as I had to drive back home. I did not get five dollars as I am not giving the receipt for 5 dollars. Don’t work with them.

Fun but hard

Working for the public is always hard. You can have great customers but rarely get orders due to mass amount of shoppers and limited orders available.

When this company started we were told to build relationships. Most of us with this company from the beginning did that. We have a solid base of customers that take care of us. Overnight that was all taken away. They brought out a preferred program that customers and shoppers were excited about. All that did was recognize our good loyal members and the bad ones that no one wants and they bundle them. Forcing us to choose to take 2 for the price of 1 or nothing at all if we pass. They now have different time bundles. So they want us to deliver the first block end of the hour. Which is terrible service. Customers don’t want to wait until the end of the hour. So what most of us do is keep the different time bundles seperate. So again for 2 hours of work you are paid for 1. Customers and shoppers are leaving in droves. Everyone has been telling them these changes are not good practice and no one cares. Constant issues getting tips. Meijer blames shipt and shipt blames meijer. If you ask them to do a tip audit conveniently you will get your tips. Greed greed greed! If customers are complaining you think they would change. But no. Just gets worse and worse. You can tell the people running this company have no idea what their shoppers do and they don’t care to find out. It’s all about the bottom line. We used to run circles around instacart and now we are the same if not worse

Flexibility. Our loyal members if you can get their order

Bundles, greed. IT issues, holding back tips. So much more

Lots of flexibility but the pay is too low

The flexibility the job provides is awesome but the pay is too low. Do people ever tip?! If so, I never received any tips. Hopefully they increase the pay amounts.

Was great but going downhill

Too much changes like instacart now. Go back to how it was a few years ago. No doubles, transparent pay, etc. get rid of the new on demand model testing in other areas

Greedy company. That focuses ONLY on there bottom line, not the customer or shopper.

They will do everything in there power to pay you as little as possible. They have made this a you vs them. It started off great, but then they started getting greedy, and lowered pay significantly

Flexing hours

No transparency with pay. New model focuses on how to align their pockets

Sucks don't waste your time

First time shoppers 10 orders are given to them for experience. After that 10 you are put in a teir that controls how many orders you get. You start you think this is actually something you can do on side to earn some money.. which is short lived after the 10 orders. After that no orders nothing. I talk to support and they say nothing they can do your zones are slow... so slow that I haven't received an offer all week? Doubtfully, with my 5 star rating.. Stats don't matter either, but I'm not getting into that here. They just hire too many shoppers and most just don't get offers and some just do.

Tips most the time

No offers bo money

What is the best part of working at the company? The flexibility of choosing your own scheduleWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company? There is no stressful part about working for the companyWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company? You are in a grocery store environment, so you are surrounded by people at all times which makes it a fun jobWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?I will put myself on the schedule for the times that I want to work and then I’d wait and if it’s an order that I want to accept I accept the order and I go shop for the customer

you make your own hours & basically work for yourself, but if you don't know how to effectively compete for orders, it'll be tough. They have you use your own personal vehicle so if you get good fuel economy then you're good.

driving a lot, so gas gets expensive

Great support in GA

I love being a shipt shopper and getting to chose my own hours. I wish the shops paid out a bit more like they used to, but all in all its still a great side gig.

Alright job

Good flexibility, okay pay when customers tip. You can be the best shopper, do everything the customer asks and then some and they will tip you less than a 1900s shoe shiner

Very Poor Pay

Flexibility is great. The pay is terrible. Tips on my area are awful as well. I wish Shipt would pay more fairly especially for the number of items someone is buying. For example there was an order available that was paying $6 for you to shop for 30 gallons of milk, and 12 pints of heavy whipping cream. Obviously that is a lot to carry, but Shipt doesn’t care about it’s shoppers

What is the best part of working at the company?Flexible schedule. Can start and end the day to fit your scheduleWhat is the most stressful part about working at the company? The company does not allow us to rate the experience but allows the members to rate us and that rating is what makes our overall rating. What is the work environment and culture like at the company? They hire good people. Their customer service people are very helpful. What is a typical day like for you at the company?I'm outside rain or shine. I meet alot of people

What is the best part of working at the company? The only thing good about Shipt is you choose your own schedule What is the most stressful part about working at the company? You rely on tips for pay. You would think that because you're shopping that you'd get paid more than competitors like Doordash or UberEats, but no. The "base" pay does not take your distance from the store into consideration and it should. There's no reason for me to get sent $5 offers constantly to stores 30+ minutes away. On top of that, who would shop for $5 top shop for 30-60 items. What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Stressful. Really just not worth the stress at all. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Stressful. Hardly get any orders worth the time and effort put into shopping.

Good job if you have the time/patience

This is a good job if you have a reliable vehicle and the gas prices are good at the time. It is completely dependent upon you and how fast you can shop, but at the same time how quickly the customer replies(if they even do). It is a good way to make decent money most of the time; but it can also prove to be very frustrating.

What is the best part of working at the company?I love working for shipt. I am able to work all that I want, I have stedy performed customers, and my bills are all literally paid. Shipt also gives alot of perks for working for them. I'm so happy with my job, idk if I'll ever change it! What is the most stressful part about working at the company?I don't really find it stressful at all. I enjoy the work I do!What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Great, as long as you don't act up or lose it in a store and always communicate with your customers and shipt headquarters, everything will be smooth sailing. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Since it's self employed, you don't have to deal with any people if you don't want to. Just text messages and grocery shopping. Grab orders as fast as you can before someone else grabs it.

What is the best part of working at the company?Making your own schedule. What is the most stressful part about working at the company?HQ is impossible to get a hold of.What is the work environment and culture like at the company?Shipt was GREAT when it first launched in MI. It used to be very shopper/family oriented. Since Target bought Shipt and it began taking on more stores, their company went from shopper oriented to to money oriented. Shipt used to value their shoppers (I mean REALLY value them)! Now, everyone is replaceable and trying to get a hold of HQ is a NIGHTMARE!!!

Make your own hours

The rating system needs work! If someone rates 4 stars your stats go way down. The customer leaves no explanation, I believe they think 4 out of 5 is good when in fact it really hursts your score
