Favoritism runs rampant in scheduling. Went from 25 hours bi-weekly part time... to very part time 4.5 hours a week.
I worked while I was in college and the manager would never work around my schedule. I was a full time student and would work as many as 40 hours a week when I was only part time.
I worked part time, but some weeks I'd work as many as 50 hours and then a few weeks later it would be down to 4. There isn't much of a norm
Personally, I get very good hours. I'm a cashier and I work between 25-30 hours a week, but you have to keep constantly mov, always stay positive and friendly, and do above and beyond. Make yourself valued and they will want you in there
Do you work split shifts on the weekend
Limited hours..except for leadership positions
It would be helpful to give employees the hours (both time and number of) that work best for them, instead of somewhat random or varied shifts, where this is possible.
