Shopko is a dying business. As a successful CEO of a business myself, I recommend they restructure and then offer pickup services like Walmart Grocery. Offer groceries. You'll find that people do not like going to Walmart all of the time (as evidenced by the stores that are staying open.....rural areas near a Walmart). Go big or go bankrupt. Now is the time for ideas to brew and just hit a homerun with it.

Give employees with seniority when hours slow... verses showing favoritism ... giving hours to new hires. You really don't feel appreciated by the company .

Good luck is all I can say! It looks like this is just how this company is ran everywhere and not just at the location I was at. Very sad, as home town stores are in small towns and there is typically little work so they end up with no choice but to put up with this treatment and hostile work environment as I did with nothing being done after using the chain of command and continued to go higher on it. Yet, still nothing was ever handled! And these people in the small towns are trying to provide for a family so see no other options..Such a disgrace and easy way for them to take advantage of smaller town communities. I could continue but it will just get me upset about how the place is ran and how cooperate could not care about its employees!

Pay attention to how the Category Assistant are being treated. No clear directions. Acts like you should know all the changes to be made, when not even apart of the any meetings. Order samples, no don't order, now order all December. Then order Febuary and give the vendors three weeks. Manager came back and flipped out and said they should be here and i was let go. Managers treat their workers with respect.
