Don't bother applying
At first, I was so excited to be hired as a writer for a company based in New York! It sounded like an amazing opportunity. BUT there's not enough work to go around (not even part-time), and the company is saturated with writers. Your time and talent is worth more.

What a joke
They keep advertising for writers, even though they have no work. The same assignments are there day after day. At first, you think, "Yay! I've been accepted as a writer!" But then you visit their content management system, where all the work resides. And then you see that all assignments are taken. Pathetic.

Very few assignments. Definitely not even part time work.
IF Shoutvox actually had a lot of assignments, as in enough to go around, be a great way to make some extra money. As it is, there are very few assignments and they already have more than enough writers apparently. No way you can work full time, or even close to part time. Maybe, a couple hours a week, maybe. IF you can grab an article in the queue before another writer does. Pay is half what the industry typically pays, so this is a place for newbies with zero experience. So, you're putting in way more work and effort and making half of what you should earn. Sorry to say, if you're a good writer looking for some extra $, don't bother applying, you'll be disappointed.
