Productive and demanding work
Environmental Services Operations Manager (Current Employee) – Washington, DC – March 15, 2018
Sibley is a great place to work. Never know what to expect in a typical day at work. Priorities change based on our patient needs. Sibley is an organization that promotes innovation and design thinking. I've learned to think LEAN. The management of the organization push you to get the best of you. The worplace culture encourage employees to use innovation and execute ideas.
Nice place to work all departments operate differently
Special Police Officer (Former Employee) – Washington, DC – February 28, 2018
Learned a lot about diversity treating everyone the same at all times. Management playing favoritism was not appeasing to my appetite. the hardest part was morgue detail with the babies.:( The most enjoyable part was me as an Officer Making Good Things Happen
Holiday Free Lunchs
very short breaks and or sometimes no break. Each day was different
Safety & Security Special Police Officer (Former Employee) – Washington, DC – June 16, 2017
The typical day at Sibley as a safety & security officer was busy. I learn that our patient come first. management was always there to help or pitch in. work place culture was great. Coming in when it snow and not being able to go home. Helping our patient and making sure they are safe.
Unarmed Special Police Officer (Former Employee) – Washington DC – November 25, 2013
Although I enjoyed working there eventually I developed a ulcer. This was due to management. The Director of Security was very emotional and had been on the job 46 years. She was hired the year I was born. In the beginning she brings you in as family. But if this was family it was very disfunctional. She encouraged officers to telling on each other instead of working on issues with in ourselves. As I had always believed presidents are elected every four years due to the possibility of the person in charge becoming a tyrant. In a three week period she had 6 resignations.. This lady would walk into the office and not speak after everyone said good morning to her. My worst boss ever! By the way my bleeding ulcer is gone now. She would always threaten us with dating the Head of Human Resources brother. We were trapped!
