Productive and fun work place

Phone calls come in and out all day long. Employees are friendly. Sometimes too much communication may cause wrong information. A good place to learn about other cultures

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear that you had a positive experience during your time at Signify Health. We are proud to provide many training opportunities internally and are glad that you felt productive in your role.

Pretty good

I have been with the company for over a year and so far its been a positive experience. Doing house calls has its challenges (traffic, poor or possible unsafe environment); but at the end of the day I do feel like I make a difference in peoples lives. You have to be flexible because members can change their mind or some unexpected events come up. I am scheduled to see 7 a day but most of the time I see 5-6 because there is always 1 or 2 people who cancel.

Overall good place to work if looking for a stable job the pay is pretty decent

You will be taking inbound and making outbound calls to schedule members of their in home or virtual appointments with their health plans. There is a quota you have to meet of how many appointments you make a day. One positive is you do make comisión for every appointment scheduled. But overall the staff and supervisors have been great with communication especially during the week of training. It isn’t perfect and not always easy but it does pay relatively well.

Pros

Pay, good work environment, breaks

Cons

Expectations can be a bit high

It was fine.

I was an independent contractor so a lot of this doesn't apply to me. The company specializes in wellness (or pt risk) exams for Medicare Advantage programs. If you like working alone, and are a mid-level provider, this may be an opportunity.

Pros

Working with the patients

Cons

No benes--independent contractor

Poor communication, poor scheduling, no provider support

The company advertises high weekly pay but it has not happened for me even once. The providers are not valued or respected. Expect fluctuating pay and no provider support. Many other providers would agree. The recruiters tend to be non-responsive and often rude. Unfortunately there is no accountability by recruiters and in house staff.

Not properly compensated; unreliable work; poor company to work for, complete disregard for members and contractors alike.

What is the best part of working at the company?Independence, low-risk, self-reliance What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not getting work when providing time & schedule availability, low compensation rates, no support when requesting assistance with any matter whether big or smallWhat is the work environment and culture like at the company?Poor management & administration. After company buyout conditions have radically declined. Constant turnover of providers/clinicians due to lack of provided work and poor compensation. False statements made to members by scheduling that puts providers/clinicians in dangerous situations. What is a typical day like for you at the company?Hoping that members are placed on schedule in order to work a full day. Constant calls & emails to recruiter & network support for scheduling assistance & driving route issues.

Bad culture/poor scheduling/ unsteady income

I have not been scheduled a single visit for over 5 weeks. No explanation. I give them 3 full days a week with a commitment of 10 visits a day. If you give them this and they actually filled my schedule with this I would have been making $2400 a week. That NEVER happens. Will get 1 or 2 scheduled and be expected to drive 45 min each way to see members. Sometimes you call and confirm the night before and you drive all that way and then they don't answer their door, or decide they aren't in the mood for the visit. Then you don't get paid at all. I have had to go into very unsafe homes, environments and areas of town that are just plain scary. I have actually been sent to an encampment site to try to find a member to do the visit. They have zero regard for the safety of their Nurse Practitioners. Scheduling is a real problem, that has only become worse since the merger a few months ago. Bonus incentives: I have yet to be compensated fully for their bonus incentive from last December. No one can answer why or tell me when this will be reimbursed. The recruiter I was with was seemed to be on my team and working diligently to get my schedule filled. However, then they entered all my availability in "wrong" and again went another week with no visits. I have asked several times if I can get a different recruiter to work with and was told "we don't do that". Bottom line, do not plan on this as a steady income job. They will promise you all these incentives and visits and it rarely happens. The most enjoyable part of the job is the actual visits. Most people are genuinely happy -

Pros

Flexibility

Cons

Unsafe environments, lack of consistent income, lack of consistent visits, poor scheduling

Ok job!

It's ok! Pay is decent, but you don't get paid if patients don't show. Less stress than some other jobs. Lots of driving, but the schedulers make your schedule.

Rampant scheduling issues impede quality work setting

Signify struggles to efficiently schedule member loads. There were one-hour increments which was not feasible for the provider to meet given that appointments were typically scattered across the city with no regard for distance or time to travel from home to home. Members would be placed on schedule who did not confirm. There were times where my full schedule was cancelled without notice. This role may be recommended for providers in between roles or as a supplement to roles. Warning: the role is not as flexible as they advertise.

Work alone

Independent contractor without health insurance working for health insurance companies in some of the most violent communities in NYC. No insensitive for risking your safety. If I get hurt I have no health insurance. Wow that just dawn on me. Risky job. Pay and bonuses are misleading intentionally by the recruiters. They can limit your bonuses by limiting your visits. The drive can be relaxing. Culture is that of indirect dishonesty by the company. You learn and adjust on your own. They trap you with the possibility of bonuses which they can directly manipulate. Charting is easy if the drive in between client visits are short which it never is. Clients are skeptical of the visits they think it’s a scam which makes it difficult for the providers. The company needs to do a better job educating the patients about these visits in a way that is inline with how big Pharma advertise their new medicines so that people know that it’s legit. They need to help providers find insurance at least!!!!

Good PRN position

This is a nice job if you’re looking to make your own schedule and enjoy some flexibility. The charting is easy. The appointment scheduling can be frustrating with appointments sending you back and forth with little organization. There are also many no shows and the company does not compensate.

Very Flexible

Great for flexibility in schedule and they will work with you! Coordinator is helpful for questions and responds in a timely manner. Can be difficult to complete assessments in a timely manner depending on the complexity of the patients at times.

Flexible, Low stress, inconsistent

Overall positive experience. I love the flexibility, autonomy, and controlling my own schedule. support staff is very friendly and professional, pay is decent per assessment. However it is inconsistent, so even if you are scheduled to work they can’t fill your days so you end up making far less. Summers and winters are very slow. You are also not reimbursed for no shows which is also frustrating so it’s hard to get consistent income.

Flexibility

What is the best part of working at the company?Flexible schedulingMake your own work hoursNo prescribing medication or lab work. What is the most stressful part about working at the company? Not enough time to complete evaluations so pay ends up being less than RN salary and Signify continues to add required questions to evaluations What is the work environment and culture like at the company? Not sure. I work alone. Recruiters not clear with some information upon hireWhat is a typical day like for you at the company?Unable to answer. Work minimally. Full time would entail being in road all day then charting at end of day.

Repetitive and they harass people that deny Apts by keep calling

Started off great until my manager moved positions then my new manager was awful. Micromanaging. Pulling me from calls all the time which affected my aph. Denied my pto if I wasn’t gettting enough appointments. I’d call members that already denied the service all the time. Clinicians no showed multiple times for Apts then we would keep calling to set up Apts. People were frustrated with the company. It’s all a money grab for signify. Hardly feel like they truly care about the members they are trying to serve. Just about the money is how I felt.

Pros

Work from home

Cons

Repetitive, Yelled at all the time on the phones, Manager had favorites. You excelled if you were bilingual as you would get more calls.
