Sales Specialist (Former Employee) – San Antonio, TX – March 29, 2019
Wake up early. Depending on your route and the day it can be long. Most management is reluctant to help out, there are some who will help. The schedule is relaxed as long as you are getting all of your duties completed they will leave you alone and you can take care of personal issues throughout the day if needed. Most management is pretty easy going and relaxed. They do put alot on a sales specialist plate to get done every week and it can be stressful.
Great benefits, decent pay
Hard to advance, Stressful, unrealistic goals, long hours
Long tough hours , some managment dont care about your personal life. To them you should always put the job first.
Merchandiser (Former Employee) – San Antonio, TX – March 25, 2019
The work is not to bad. Unless you're on a busy route with heavy accounts. It's all more about how you work. Could be easy or very hard. Hours are pretty good. The company doesn't like to go over 5 hours OT a week per employee but that really depends on the stores on each route or holidays. On a heavy route they had no problem with me getting 10+ OT hours a week...some of the route managers are cool and are easy to work with. Others are more make the company money types. So if you need to call in, they had no problem making yu feel like you're doing wrong.
Diesel Technician (Current Employee) – San Antonio, TX – December 24, 2018
I have worked for Silver Eagle Dist for many years and am still employed with them. I have no interest in leaving and recommend this company to work for to anybody. They have great benefits such as Health, dental, life Insurance and 401k retirement.
Product Handler 1 (Former Employee) – San Antonio, TX – October 2, 2018
This type of job is overnight and not really good about pay, they want you to hit numbers of 170 right off the bat with only 1 day of training (certain trainer doesn't train you just goes off and talks to other people)
No opportunities to advance and management is horrible
Driver (Former Employee) – San Antonio, TX – January 31, 2018
Worked at Silver Eagle for 3 years. The work is easy but it is very demanding and unless your ready to work hard for your money it's really tough. Some days are short other are stressful and long. But its perfect for a person who wants to stay local and have lots of time at home. Management is horrible!!! They don't know how to distribute the helpers. And they take advantage of being in the office allday and not compensating their drivers. They do not listen to drivers recommendations for advancement in the company. Salesman get paid more than drivers but they do not deserve to be paid more. There is no incentives for drivers you get paid what you sign for on your contracted salary and that's it's the raises are next to nothing.
Lots of free time. Great group of people. Work schedule is awesome.
Management is terrible. No raises or incentives. No opportunity for advancement.

Good place too work at. Got hired on pretty fast. Work environment is in a big nice cold warehouse, but not too cold. Co-Workers are dope. They help you through out the day stacking beer layer by layer if they see your doing it wrong.
Route Delivery Driver (Current Employee) – San Antonio, TX – July 10, 2017
Hiring process was smooth and HR even let me push back a driving test due to the fact I was still had appointments for the military (i was on terminal leave). I'm a new hire and so far things are great, working in an environment where everybody has a positive attitude is awesome!
Product Handler (Current Employee) – San Antonio, TX – June 25, 2017
Since being here I have grown into a better employee. When you come in you are constantly moving. You have no choice but to get better at your job. The warehouse management system is a great tool to learn even if you decide to leave the company. Being part of the management we try to give the employees everything they need to complete the job.
Silver Eagle Distributors is a great place to work.
Product Handler (Current Employee) – San Antonio, TX – April 18, 2017
A typical day work is 8 to 10 hours of fast paced work. I've learned a lot about SED and their products. The management is very professional. The workplace is fast paced but not to stressful. The part I enjoy the most is learning about how many products SED, distributes in San Antonio.
