Stressful and no work life balance
PHII (Current Employee) –  Pasadena, TXJune 19, 2018
You get 1 45 minute lunch and no other breaks.. If you kiss butt to management you get to do what you want. Theres a lot of cry babies who believe since their good at building pallets they have the right to not do anything anymore when theyre barely new to the company less than 6 months compared to "veterans" who has been doing it for years. They say they promote within the company but they have been hiring outside the company, supervisors, who know nothing about any of the products other than the current employees who are hard workers and been there for years.. The hours are way too long.. No work life balance..
Pros
Beer once a month
Cons
45 min lunch no work life balance

Do not work here!
Merchandiser (Former Employee) –  Pasadena, TXJune 5, 2018
Be prepared to work 12+ hour days. Wheni was first hired here...i was told the average day was 8 hours...with 2 days off a week,YEAH RIGHT! Right off the bat...It was 12 hour days and being called in on one of my days off. That was weekly. So if you have any plans to spend time with family on your days off....forget it. That being said...the pay was absolute trash. They work you to death and the pay is cheap. Then you get yelled at for having to much OT even tho your manager is the one who called you in on a scheduled off day. Stay away! You have been warned.

if u want home every night and weekends offs, but over all u would work 12 plus hours a day 5 days a week for $1400 every two weeks. u have to really bust your butt just to make money. it wouldn't be so bad if the paid u by the hour and not salary because u pull so much over time in a day.

Good place to work
Area Sales Manager (Current Employee) –  Houston, TXMay 8, 2018
Silver Eagle is good place to work if you love working a lot. A lot of the goals set are nearly impossible to achieve but you have to make it happen. Declining market is hurting sales a lot. Younger people are not consuming beer versus prior years
Pros
Fun work environment, fringe benefits
Cons
Stress, lack of team spirit

No opportunities to advance and management is horrible
Driver (Former Employee) –  San Antonio, TXJanuary 31, 2018
Worked at Silver Eagle for 3 years. The work is easy but it is very demanding and unless your ready to work hard for your money it's really tough. Some days are short other are stressful and long. But its perfect for a person who wants to stay local and have lots of time at home.
Management is horrible!!! They don't know how to distribute the helpers. And they take advantage of being in the office allday and not compensating their drivers. They do not listen to drivers recommendations for advancement in the company. Salesman get paid more than drivers but they do not deserve to be paid more.
There is no incentives for drivers you get paid what you sign for on your contracted salary and that's it's the raises are next to nothing.
Pros
Lots of free time. Great group of people. Work schedule is awesome.
Cons
Management is terrible. No raises or incentives. No opportunity for advancement.

Warehouse Clerk (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJanuary 30, 2018
Can be stressful, but fun and a variety of job duties. Supervisor's needed to be more helpful with regard to being more informative If mistakes occurred you were written up 3 times and given warning but no extra training if needed which I felt was wrong.
Pros
Enjoyed the work
Cons
Not being very informative of the jobs that occurred ocassionally
