You'll teach one of three subjects in your clubs: chess, coding, or LEGO robotics. For chess, you need to know at least the rules and basic strategy. For coding and LEGO robotics, experience is useful but not required. The primary qualification for those clubs is experience working with children.

If you want to teach chess here, you do need to know the rules and basic strategy. You don't need to be a master-level player. There's a huge range of skill levels among our chess coaching staff, from folks that are relative beginners up through former state champions of Virginia and Maryland. We try to match each coach with appropriate groups of children, so if you're a less experienced chess player, you'd teach beginner clubs.
