Sinai Health System, a Chicago-based private, not-for-profit organization, is comprised of seven member organizations: Mount Sinai Hospital (MSH), Holy Cross Hospital (HCH), Sinai Children’s Hospital, Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH), Sinai Medical Group (SMG), Sinai Community Institute (SCI) and Sinai Urban Health Institute (SUHI). The 695-bed hospital group has received national and statewide recognition for clinical excellence as well as its innovative urban health programs, which translate research in social, economic and health disparities into comprehensive prevention and wellness programs that improve health as well as quality of life.
While Sinai is known for its expertise in trauma care, Sinai’s expansive network also provides top specialty services at its hospitals and clinics, from neonatal intensive care to advanced oncology programs. System wide, Sinai has 4,000 caregivers.
Called Chicago’s “safety-net giant,” Sinai Health System’s merger with Holy Cross Hospital in 2013 created a unique Jewish-Catholic partnership united in a mission to bring quality, compassionate health care and social services to some of Chicago’s most economically challenged communities. Even before the Affordable Care Act, Sinai’s institutions have emphasized community wellness by focusing on economic and social disparities that impact health. Today, there are 1.5 million Chicagoans in Sinai’s service area.
Leading health care professionals are drawn to Sinai Health System jobs because they share our core values: integrity, respect, teamwork, quality, and safety. Careers with Sinai Health System and our member organizations give our caregivers a chance to make a real difference in the lives of patients, who live within or nearby the historically underserved communities of Chicago’s West and South Sides. In fact, a strong sense of community permeates everything that happens at Sinai, including the way our team members work together. – less

Sinai Health Systems has a commitment to the community it serves. It is a diverse work force. Senior management does not reflect the workers or the communities it serves. The folks with "boots on the ground" are the diverse face of the hospital. The system is struggling financially as are other safety net hospitals.
What do employees at Sinai Health System say about culture and work-life balance?
