SALES GENERATION ASSOCIATE (Former Employee) – New York, NY – November 4, 2016
A typical day at work begins almost immediately on the phones either cold calling or holding sales meetings. Fridays end with beer carts around the office. Tonality and the psychology of sales were two major take-aways. My co-workers were hard workers and self-motivated (or money-motivated). The hardest part of the job is the rejection, for some. For myself, the hardest part of the job was not continuing a career path in my field of studies. The most enjoyable part of the job was the time off.

SinglePlatform is great as a first job out of school. There is plenty of room to learn and challenge yourself. Unfortunately, if this is not your first job there is little to offer regarding development. The company does spend a ton to motivate people but would be better off working on making the company a destination rather than a stepping stone. There is tons of untapped opportunity within the organization that simply needs a more stable culture and leadership ideology. Leadership and training are greatly lacking.

Company culture is usually great. Quite a bit of cold calling into restaurants. You get to learn to manage a full sales cycle rather quickly. Culture is definitely a highlight, almost the entire office is full of young and energetic people. A great first job out of college.
