CONSULTANT (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAApril 24, 2018
While Situs is a great place to work it depends on who your supervisor or manager is. Training is hit or miss. training in Houston was about everything but the position hired for.
Pros
Benefits, Environment
Cons
Depends on who is manager, supervisor

Their hiring of personnel was very good too.

Co-Workers make the place.
Analyst (Current Employee) –  Robbins, NCFebruary 2, 2018
Typical day is high stress. Employees are overworked. Managers will tell you they know that they need more people to do the job and there's no way you can do it all - and then fuss at you all day because you don't have 70+ hours of work done in a 40 hr work week. Managers are terrible and do not own up to mistakes that they make - they instead put it off on the employee(s) under them and just carry on like nothing ever happened. Very cut and dry, cut throat. Pay is not fair. There are people who have been working there for several years making less than people hired now with the same or less qualifications. If you go to your manager to discuss issues like being overworked or issues with another manager - you will be retaliated against. They have good, smart people working for them - they take advantage of the location of the place and pay them very little. Situs does not value good employees. NC Labor board would have a field day there. Hopefully more employees will be honest and make complaints to the labor board. At some point a company has to understand that they cant just treat people so poorly and unfair. There are so many who are unhappy and get treated poorly daily - they are all to afraid to say anything because they know they will be fired and jobs are far and few to come by around here. Its really sad and it speaks on the Ethics of the company.
Pros
co-workers
Cons
Management - Work load - Employee treatment

Executive (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXJuly 20, 2017
This was a challenging job that had different problems to solve each day. Management has had a lot of change since I left, but previous management was awesome.

Too many org. changes.
HR Generalist (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 7, 2017
Too many organizational changes. Instability. High turnover. 401k and STD benefits are not competitive. A core/seconded environment. Co-employment with a PEO is not conducive given the size of the organization.
Cons
401(k) match and STD benefits

This is an awful company, poor management. My experience with this company was awful and I have heard from other members of the workforce that they have similar opinions of the company.

Situs NC
Analyst I (Former Employee) –  Robbins, NCDecember 8, 2016
Situs does have a wonderful work culture with frequent team-building events and training, but longevity can be poor. There is a clique dynamic and turnover is quite frequent particularly due to poor compensation.
Pros
Free meals, team building, big market company
Cons
Compensation, advancement, job security

All work and no pay
Analyst (Former Employee) –  Robbins, NCMay 11, 2016
Benefits were nice, Situs paid majority of the coverage and you started out with 20 days of PTO. You gain a lot of experience but expected to work for pennies. You gain real estate experience and knowledge. Pay verse the work. Once you are considered an Analyst I and receive salary pay you are expected to work your 40 hours a week plus overtime and you only get "half time" after you've worked over a certain period of time. They realize that the Robbins office cost of living is cheaper than the other offices therefore they pay the employees there cheaper but they expect more from the employees.

unstable and unfriendly workplace
Project coordinator (Former Employee) –  Houston, TXMarch 13, 2014
Physical envirionment was horrible. They made people share cubicles while there was plenty of empty space.
The company culture was very mean-spirited. My supervisor constantly gave me bad information and insulted me but he was also frequently and openly humiliated by his boss. People in other departments would go to lunch or go home and never returned to work because they could not bear their terrible managers. I later ran into people who had previously work there. Most of them had nothing good to say about Situs.
They would hire, fire and layoff people on a whim.
The benefits were not that great either.
The only good thing about the Houston office was the location.
Pros
location
Cons
company culture, business practice, benefits
