Fun Job. Can be boring sometimes.
Retail Clerk/Cashier (Current Employee) - Agawam, MA - September 25, 2023
An awesome job to have in my opinion. It's fun while you're productive and interactive to guests. It does get boring when there's little to nothing to do but just stand/walk/sit around and to keep yourself busy. All and all, flexible hours up to your standards, awesome employee discount, you get rewarded for your hard work (with snacks and other goodies), and great pay.

Team Member (Current Employee) - Six flags New England - September 23, 2023
This job is fast paced with intense weather influences. Very good positive place to work. Overall it’s a good temporary job as the park isn’t open all year anymore.

It’s not a job you want when your an adult
Retail Hostess & Cashier (Former Employee) - Queensbury, NY - September 22, 2023
This job is very good for teens who are looking for a first time job. They don’t have any benefits unless you are a manager or higher. Hours are very short
Pros
Very fun place
Cons
No benefits or room to grow

I liked it
Scare Actor (Current Employee) - Santa Clarita, CA - September 22, 2023
It’s pretty good when it comes to hours most of the shift you’re chilling because mazes don’t only until around 6 or 7 and you’re there at around 4 pretty good lunch breaks too

Terrible management and favoritism
Security Guard (Current Employee) - Arlington, TX - September 22, 2023
Pretty decent starting salary but the job expects you to stay hours after you’re supposed to get off every night. It’s impossible to get a good schedule if you’re not there favorite.

Fun place, poor planing
Ride Operator (Former Employee) - Agawam, MA - September 14, 2023
Fun place to work but unfortunately the online schedule would never match the actual schedule. Would go in on the days I was scheduled based off the online schedule, then they would say I wasn’t on the schedule.

It's a job. Good for teenagers looking for work. Low pay but pays weekly. Multiple positions available. Temporary job usually only in the summertime.

Overall okay job.
Food and Beverage Server (Former Employee) - San Antonio, TX - September 7, 2023
Okay so working here wasn’t bad at first but as time went on I could clearly see that leads had favoritism towards certain workers, what I mean I’d they only promoted people who are their bffs and the leads and managers slack off while they make newbies do all the dirty work, whic is the complete opposite of what I signed up for. Other then that everything was okay, I liked that you could get park perks such as free tickets to the park and a free lunch/ snack. Overall wasn’t TOO bad. Good job if you like the long hours.
Pros
Free lunch and free tickets to park
Cons
Short breaks, favoritism

Ok
Game Room Attendant (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - September 7, 2023
I thought it was OK but I think the pay could be more. I worked a long time ago as a teenager. This is a good job for teenagers. The pay is low I work during the summer. It was very hot not worth it.

Jobs at Six Flags, Inc.
A job with a very flexible schedule and decent pay. But corporate could care couldn’t care less about you.
Foods Member (Current Employee) - Arlington, TX - September 4, 2023
Corporate and the CEO don’t care about their employees. They brought in many international employees with guaranteed 30 hour while their part time workers( the majority of their work force) don’t have that privilege. Many part time workers have had their hours cut and can hardly work at all to make room for all the new internationals. Poor business planning because when those internationals go home, all the workers who left because their hours were cut will leave the company even more understaffed than it was before.
Pros
Free lunches for foods employees, and flexible schedules.
Cons
No health care, no guaranteed hours, no paid time off.

Cool workplace & environment.
Lifeguard (Current Employee) - Marietta, GA - September 1, 2023
Job is pretty cool, the best part is probably your coworkers pay is pretty good too. Biggest con for me are probably the long hours and it's super hot most days.

I have had the privilege of working at Six Flags, and I can confidently say it has been an incredible experience. This job has provided me with numerous opportunities for personal and professional growth, and I would like to highlight some of the aspects that make it a fantastic place to work. Team Collaboration: At Six Flags, teamwork is at the core of everything we do. I have had the pleasure of working alongside a dedicated and diverse group of individuals who are not only passionate about their roles but also incredibly supportive of each other. Positive Work Environment: The atmosphere at Six Flags is dynamic and filled with enthusiasm. The focus on creating a positive and fun environment for both employees and guests is truly commendable. Professional Development: Six Flags offers numerous training and development opportunities. I've had the chance to enhance my skills in areas like customer service, leadership, and safety management, which will undoubtedly benefit me in my future career endeavors. Guest Interaction: Interacting with guests from various backgrounds and creating memorable experiences for them has been one of the most rewarding aspects of my job. It's a great feeling knowing that I've played a part in making someone's day special.Employee Benefits: Six Flags provides its employees with a range of benefits, including discounts on park admissions and merchandise, which is a fantastic perk. Safety and Training: Six Flags places a strong emphasis on safety and provides comprehensive training to ensure that employees can perform their roles with confidence -

Fun atmosphere with a very toxic culture.
Animal Care/Entertainment (Former Employee) - Vallejo, CA - August 25, 2023
I enjoyed my 5 years here but the management at every department was laughable. Lack of communication from the higher ups would leave those underneath them confused and lost and then leading teams who became more confused than their leaders. the guests could see and would complain regularly about the lack of employee knowledge or awareness of events happening or upcoming. They took covid safety very seriously at first then seemed to go back and forth on introducing and detracting different procedures weekly (more confusion). Raises are given based on how much the boss thinks you earned even though they are never around to see you do your work EVER. If you decide to work here full-time please look out for yourself and don’t let managers work you like a dog, they can and will easily replace you no matter how much they want you to feel needed. Only work here if it’s Full-time, they treat seasonal workers like the Junior varsity employees and pay them like it.
Pros
Fun atmosphere, Great coworkers, Good Work-life Balance
Cons
Management takes advantage, revolving door of employees constantly, seasonal jobs are awful here

Unless you really need a job don’t be an attendant
Attendant (Former Employee) - Agawam, MA - August 23, 2023
Not worth unless you really need a job, is hot and not enough breaks, overwork cause a lot of people quit and make you stay overtime and do tasks not on the job description

Corporate Office. Terrible all around.
Procurement Clerk (Current Employee) - Arlington, TX - August 19, 2023
As Procurement staff I cannot stress enough how much I do NOT recommend working for Six Flags. They belittle you as some sort of working machine that has no life outside of work, barely compensates you for your time, gives you ZERO benefits as a part-timer (even though they were working me 30-31 hours to miraculously make it beneath the line to consider me full-time). As a huge company such as this one you would expect at least being offered medical or PTO. There is terrible parking as you work at the former baseball stadium. You don’t get the luxury of parking close to said building, unless you’re someone important, so you have to walk a good distance in the blazing 109 degree heat drenched in sweat before reaching your desk. HR is also a joke, when you think they’ll assist with issues that you’re having, they end up ghosting you. This company is in shambles.
Pros
Quiet environment, lunch area is spacious with a view of the stadium on the inside.
Cons
Terrible management, Terrible HR, bad parking situation, overworking of employees and puts them “on call” when off hours and even over the weekend, no benefits if part-time

Never expect a raise, HR is not on your side.
Paramedic (Former Employee) - Arlington, TX - August 18, 2023
I worked for 2 years and 2 months, and after 1 month I trained new people. I had a perfect attendance record and was incredibly efficient with my work. I even got "Service Superstar" which basically means best employee of the season. Two years in and I still make the same amount as the people that are working their first day. Over the years, we had management staff write people up without ever having told us not to do the thing they wrote us up for. In one instance we were trained explicitly to skip that field because it is not used, some of us were given a first and final warning because we behaved according to training. HR did nothing to remediate the issues. There are no paid holidays, the most you'll get is sometimes they will give a free meal. There is no way of getting insurance or PTO unless you promote to a very high level in the department, in a department of 20-40 only 2-3 will have benefits. I worked well over full-time during the summer (50+ hours a week) and never was given or awarded benefits.

Okay
Ride Mechanic (Current Employee) - Vallejo, CA - August 17, 2023
Descent work for the job. There are good and bad parts to all jobs. Management could be a little better about getting the parts we need. Pay is good for the job.
