Rental Sales Agent (Current Employee) – Denver, CO – January 21, 2019
Sales is a high priority to management. Schedules change frequently and you are forced to work what they want you to work rather than what you are able to work. The customers are frequently verbally abusive when things go wrong or when issues come up. Management is often absent during the evening hours when the most help is needed. Coworkers are friendly and work together and there are usually competitive contests to participate in. I would only recommend this job position for people who are heavily advanced in sales.
the only downside was its a 24-hour Schedule and this is something they are not flexible with due to branch operations. You may be on in the morning one day and had been on till 2 am the night before. The job is designed for young people with no families.
Other then this It is an amazing company to work for.
I regularly work 11-12 hour days with no breaks. I end up staying passed my scheduled time almost every day. Management has added more and more duties and work load to my position without any raise or hiring anymore staff to help. I routinely have to act as a manager for customer complaints because there is not usually one around to deal with anything. All customer phone calls get routed to my phone now, meaning I have to deal with that as well. My duties are only suppose to include the planning of vehicle movements between lots.
There is a lot of pressure to upsell and upper management encourages you to lie to the customer just to make the upsell. Highly unethical behavior and deceptive business practices are embraced until there are too many customer complaints to corporate. Upper management at the branch where I worked was arrogant, dishonest, and unethical. One manager was wonderful but the newest manager was rude, childish, unprofessional, and very shallow. If you have high moral and ethical standards, this is not a good place to work.
Initial pay with guaranteed commissions as you are learning the business is decent.
No designated breaks, branch rules change almost daily, upper management does not honor employment agreements, unethical business practices that take advantage of customers for the sake of higher commissions, and branch ratings through Corporate.
Reservation Agent (Current Employee) – Fort Lauderdale, FL – December 22, 2018
Overnight role carries a lot of responsibilities. You have to be customer service, claims, traffic and tolls , roadside assistance, complete emails, retention, supervisor, team lead and more. I know you probably think lieing but it’s the honest truth. The incentive are a joke. If you disregard this review, when they speak of incentive- they expect for you to sell 4,000 and only receive 2% of that. Your bonus is unreachable. If you able to overcome to make some kind of money from your bonus, it only be for tax. They micromanage for everything such as how long you go to the bathroom, how you have a customer on hold, the calls automatically come on your lines, etc. You have build so much untrusted friendship for schedule or to advance in the company. You have to carry all those responsibilities and have goal to achieve. No one have worked more than six months. For the overnight crew, no one have been here no longer than two months.
Productive workplace with bright young individuals.

Sixt RAC LLC is an exciting place to work. All employees at Sixt are full of youth with knowledge on a variety of topics. Furthering your education and know-how is recommended and encouraged by management. Community is also encouraged whether it be through the ping pong or foosball tables or by the company events held at Sixt HQ. I've learned many things while working at Sixt and would recommend working at Sixt to anyone.
good, management Educate customers regarding optional products and additional services related to their needs, exhibit excellent customer service in a courteous and competent manner. Serve as overnight supervisor, and complete additional tasks as requested to meet team and company goals.
I believe the company is loose when it comes to proffesionalism. They mostly sell on appearance and a mandatory uniform is part of the job.The uniform itself is meant to sexualize the women who are the car rental sales employees. The slit on the skirt in the front instead of in the back where it should be.When yous it down your skirt will slit down open up between the front of your legs.Promotion is more based on who you befriend and if you are good seller.Thee managers for the locations are mostly foreign individuals with a visa who worked for sixt in europe who mostly had a completely different background in the company. When they arrive to the car rental location has to be trained by a rental agent who has the most knowledge with program and understands fleet.Bit ofcourse you are not paid more for this and there is no incentive unless you are the cuthroat rental agent who wlil do anything or say anything to upsell a customer Even if that means charging the customer for unknown vehicle protection or upselling them a bit more for the same car they had reserved online.I handled the phone calls that where made and i constantly received calls from customers who after leaving the rental center realized the upsell charges and vehicle protection they had been charged of and where not aware. At the end it was too late because the customer had signed to the rental agreement. And the rental agent was a sharl who wanted to make comission so bad and be number one that they didnt are if they ate into the travelers vacation budget.

Good company to work for. Need better management at the branch , more transparency and better training for certain positions. Branch also needs work on structural level, bad AC in a very hot state, as well as outside appearance Neds work. Health insurance was way too expensive with high deductibles and ended up paying out of pocket for every doctor visit. FSA never set up from corporate making it even more difficult for employees to manage cost of dr visits.
Good advancement opportunities
health insurance choices don't have the best of the employees interests
Rental Sales Agent position is stressful, people call in every day, management does not care for staff. You never get a break but management expects you to stay extra 30 min and wait for the next shift to come in. Management does not like confrontation, if you have a problem with a customer and you need a manager they will never have your back. The schedule comes out every month but will change it up in the middle of the month just to make another employee happy. Management is never at the branch, they purposely don't show up to the branch if we are short staffed, or have no cars to rent out. If we are short people up stairs, we have to go upstairs and check in cars, its really frustrating because that is considered a whole different job title. This company is a joke.
