Leadership Gift Officer (Current Employee) – Saratoga Springs, NY – December 21, 2017
Distracted management is one of the greater difficulties at Skidmore and a culture based on tasks not goals adds to this difficulty. On a positive note, staff are collegial and pleasant to one another, and teamwork is emphasized within divisions on shared projects.
Registrar Assistant (Former Employee) – Saratoga Springs, NY – May 14, 2017
Organized, neat and professional atmosphere. The faculty and staff are welcoming in nature and strive to promote success. I am honored to have worked with such a lovely group of individuals over the years.
Skidmore is a challenging environment to make in with staff and students alike.
Office Coordinator Media Services (Current Employee) – Saratoga Springs, NY – February 8, 2014
A typical day at Skidmore involves managing student workers and interacting with both staff and students. I learned that media in college is very different than media in the public realm. I would have to "rate" both management and co-workers as average. The hardest part of the job is a lack of consistency emanating from the top down. The most enjoyable part of the job is working with the students.
Relaxed and learning atmosphere.
Working with faculty who think they are "above the law."
