HVAC Installer (Former Employee) –  Charlotte, NCJanuary 7, 2019
Typical work days are never too bad and I did learn a few tricks about how to deal with different situations in HVAC. The management was poorly handled, it once took me three weeks to get paid. I was told twice that I was getting a raise and didn't until I said something.
Pros
Good pay

Lack of hours

Good place to learn new skills
Construction worker (Current Employee) –  Richmond, VASeptember 20, 2018
Skillforce is a good place to learn skills however, it's considered a temporary job and we are contracted out causing your income to fluctuate. It's tough to budget on a weekly basis out knowing how many hours you will get in a week or how much you will get paid hourly to do the work.

You also gain more skills and work with different companies that give you more experience and networking opportunities.
Pros
Lots of work, learn new skills
Cons
SOme jobs have low pay, some days no work

Sales/Recruitment (Former Employee) –  Fort Worth, TXJune 9, 2018
Very fast paced work environment but the employees that were recruited for jobs were not willing to show up or complained about there pay. General Manager under extreme stress was superior and always started the day with a positive conversation. He really let us do the job and respected our decisions

You have to work hard to make money and make sure your organized and always on your feet. You work hard hours but you always get off at 5pm. You have to make sure you are always on your game.

Electrician Helper (Former Employee) –  Chantilly, VAJune 4, 2018
They call you and ask if you'd like to work at a certain site. If yes you'll be there next day. They pay every week so that's nice. I wish they would supply you with more work equipment.

Flexible hours if you have a family
Commercial Electrician (Former Employee) –  Baltimore, MDSeptember 29, 2017
I enjoyed working at skill force, some of the companies that hire them are filled with skilled workers. Though there is a lack of advancement in the company that many would find working for a contractor.
Pros
Flexible hours, good pay.
Cons
Move around a lot, little to no advancement

Account Manager (Current Employee) –  Chantilly, VAJuly 18, 2017
If you're interested in working for a company where you need to be on call 24/7, answer calls from complete inbeciles and work for a management team that is constantly chasing their tails with no clue as to what direction they are going; then this is the company for you!
They will expect you to do the work of three people while hardly paying you the worth of one. They price gouge their customers which drives them away to the competition. This company is a sinking ship.
Pros
ABC events
Cons
Non stop work, terrible work environment
