Technical Support Engineer T2/L1, Key Results (Current Employee) –  Sandy Springs, GAOctober 30, 2019
No labs and no product to work with or replicate steps but they fully expect you to work support cases for the product. If you are into tech, don't go there! They want tech people to work a call center doing customer service rather than actually working to resolve any issue.

Awful, awful, awful
Customer Service Specialist (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORSeptember 5, 2019
Complete dysfunctional company with the worst communication I have ever witnessed. They say one thing and do another. Management is a joke and there has been tons of turnover. Favoritism is alive and well here, and if you are not a part of that crowd, expect a short lived employment. I witnessed over 9 firings during my time there. That should give you enough to know what you are dealing with. Run fast and never look back, this company is so unorganized and mismanaged you are better off working anywhere else. Pay is substandard too.

It's fine
N/A (Current Employee) –  Portland, ORMay 28, 2019
Great people and occasionally an extremely frustrating place to work. The most recent merger has made it a much less fun place to work. Lots of people fell uphill, and it's hurting a lot of processes that were in place and working well.

They are too scared to hurt peoples feelings so a lot of times the employees that contribute the absolute bare minimum still slide by.
Pros
Good location, good people, okay culture
Cons
Cheap, bureaucratic, and unorganized.

Worse Job Ive had
SENIOR TECHNICAL SUPPORT ENGINEER (Current Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 22, 2019
Smarsh is by far worse place I've ever worked for. I would NEVER recommend it to anyone. The management is terrible and if you ever try and complain about them the HR team will ALWAYS side with them. They are not in it to support the employee but on the contrary, they blame the employee

Support Services Supervisor (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORJuly 24, 2017
Working at Smarsh leaves you challenged each day. But you get the help you need and you get to work for a company that loves its team members. They want you to succeed and want you to become part of the SMARSH family.

Business Development Executive (Former Employee) –  New York, NYJune 6, 2017
Poor on boarding process. Antiquated internal systems. Bad customer support. A lot of internal churn. Majority of solutions not ready for prime time. Senior management is a walking human resource tinderbox.
Pros
Good benefits, good 401K

Jr.Software Engineer (Current Employee) –  Raleigh, NCMarch 12, 2017
The work environment/company culture is very positive and makes the work day enjoyable. Management is in tune with what employees need and are always there to teach you and guide you. Unlimited PTO.

Something New every day
TECHNICAL SUPPORT SUPERVISOR (Former Employee) –  Atlanta, GAMay 9, 2016
My typical day consists of managing the support team (PTO, policies, escalation calls, supervision). There is not a single day i do not learn something new on this job with all the changing technology and updates both internally and externally. I love my team and really enjoy assisting them in their career and expanding their technical knowledge.
Pros
Great benefits, moderate travel, great office culture
Cons
Tough customers and long hours

GREAT Company with Great Management
Interim Payroll & Benefits Administrator (Former Employee) –  Portland, ORMarch 5, 2015
Smarsh is a great young IT company, located in the heart of downtown. Provides easy access to use public transportation. Liked the company's dedication to keep it green and eco-friendly. Nice place to spend 8 hours a day, every dayoutside of hone on work, as the employees were friendly but behaved in a very professiobnal manner. Provides very fostering work environment - Payroll system, called Fidelity Payroll, is not a well known system. Didn't know about the existence of such a product, until started to work there. Smarsh Provided adequate training and Accounting Manager was always willing and available, when needed. Learned how to use INTAACT, Smarsh's Accounting system- Again training was great and Good Benefit package. Hard part was leaving Smarsh after just 2 short months. This review will be incomplete without talking about VP of HR. Hardest part was having to leave as the project was completed successfully on time.
Pros
Flexible hours & professional work environment
Cons
wasn't there long enough to comment

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR (Former Employee) –  New YorkJuly 14, 2013
I was there a year and I really enjoyed the people I worked with, however the pay wasn't that great and I didn't feel like there was any chance for advancement within a reasonable amount of time.
Pros
Great people
Cons
Low pay, little chance for advancement
