Probably the most incompetent, mediocre, directionless company I have worked for. Pay is below the average. Extremely high turnover rate. Horrible work uniform.

Oversaw a grand opening, poorly organized and executed due to lack of budget. Strived to be a luxury company but lacked corporate infrastructure. Europe management team is better run that North America team. Did not provide full benefits package since the HR department was poorly run by interns and constant turnover in corporate office. Aside from clothing allowance, discount, would not recommend, as turnover was 6 months to 1 year internally. Would not recommend as the clothing can be purchased for a better discount than employee discount at department stores. Allocation of product assortment made it difficult to capture repeat clientele and did not agree with corporate culture with dismissal of a district manager and termination of other managers within the west and east coast. The SMCP family is very West vs. East coast and did not provide any room for growth.

Typical work day consist of customer service and sales responsibilities. I learned that customers want to hear what they want even if its not true. Management is lazy and coworkers are young. Nothing hard about the job, just tedious.

Management is inadequate for their positions, I received a write up for inquiring about a promotion.. take a second to digest that. The Turnover in this company is severely HIGH. Multiple (5+) incidents where pay wasnt awarded on time. Gives a hard time to use a personal day when you only get award two and I was never sick or called out of work. Extremely Unprofessional, DIstrict Manager does nothing to salvage relationships between disagreeing managers. Everything with this company is last minute. Employees won a contest at 59th street location, it took Maje 3 months to award a team of 6 employees 100 for their hardwork and efforts despite the fact that the checks are cut bi week or atleast should be and the company nyc headquarters is less than 5 miles away.

the worst company ever.

professional doesnt exist, personal dislike, you cant voice your opinion no matter how professional or they will black ball you, dont waste your time.
